Aggressive Packers

Gee. There is a team that decided that "draft and develop" was not an efficient strategy and then now is turned to the evil free agency to try to get better.

Fools.

Amazing now that Ted retired how the philosophy has changed so quickly.
Unfortunately for the Cowboys, we won't have the luxury of our GM retiring for a change in philosophy. We have to wait for the team to be sold.

The Bears already matched it. They are not playing.

This makes sense given that Rodgers has been injured the last few seasons. A smart GM knows that his prime QB days are numbered.

Makes more sense to get him OL to keep him from getting hit so much. Instead they go for WR and CB. We'll see I guess but doesn't seem like the best route to success to me.

If we lose him it’s because we wanted to lose him
We can match any offer he gets
You’re right we probably can match any offer Irving gets if we want to restructure contracts, but it could be a really expensive offer. If we gave him a 1st round tender it would have been less likely he would have even received an offer. Teams less likely to give up a 1st than a 2nd round pick.

Xwalker made a great point
By doing a second we let another team set the price that we can match
Any offer involving a second rnd pick is likely to be less than any offer not involving a pick
So another team sets the price that we can match and we don’t have to worry about tagging or paying him probably more next year
I’d always felt like you but the idea is pretty smart
Not sure the team put as much thought into it xwalker did but we can hope

They lost Jordy Nelson ( finally & for the last time) what's Rogers #1 cannonball target going to be?
Is that guy from CHICAGO such a shut-down DB that the rest of the NFC NORTH dreads squaring off against those ***** packers?,,, I'd likely think not.

( biased viewpoint has been logged& duly notedo_O)

They be drafting a WR in the first round and A-rod12 will turn him into a pro bowler in no time.

More than likely yer' probably right, BROTHER!
UGH!,,those GREEN BAY PACKERS have been a sore source of contentment to deal witho_O

( after my momma passed on,my sister sent me a 'photo' album of us kids growing up,,,LOL, there's A picture of me& my little brother with our Christmas present football helmets on ,little bro had his VIKINGS helmet on, also being clad with VIKINGS PJ's he'd somehow scammed somewhere along the lines, while I've got my DALLAS COWBOY'S helmet on & an oversized (for me @ around 11 or 12 years old) regulation PACKERS JERSEY with the sleeves all ratted out ( it was something I'd scored outta' the doghouse on the drilling rig while growing up, my ol' man only hired&worked veterans:thumbup:)
But,Still? Seeing that photo from so long ago ,maybe justifies as to the 'why' my older sister's called me 'dildo',,,,,,IDK
