It killed him to compliment Dak - it burned him to watch JJ celebrating.

Dak was up 12-0 and Troy said he still didn’t look right .

He was begging for interference calls on Dallas .

Really sickening
It’s all in your head, pay no attention to those voices.

He was hating all over Dak and the team early. But, at least for this game, he had to admit Dak and the team played great and basically admitted he was wrong at the end of the game. As for Jerry, yeah, he doesn’t hate him but he doesn’t like him much.

If Aikman dislikes Dak, I’m totally missing it. He called him “an old school qb, that doesn’t care about stats” post game with Scott Van Pelt. I can’t think of higher compliment from Aikman, because that was his career.

If Aikman dislikes Jerry, well, kudos to Troy on that one.

Troy and Romo always talk a lot against Dak. But they say how they like Dak, etc.

Yeah, riiiiight!

Here we go with the Troy Aikman hate after broadcasting a Cowboys game. You just knew it was coming. Lol This was my comment just the other day after someone started a thread hating on Jason Garrett for not cheerleading the Cowboys.

He’s being objective and refuses to cheerlead the Cowboys. With that being said I believe he was the only one on NBC to pick the Cowboys to beat Philly in their first matchup. Most dislike Troy Aikman as a commentator for the same reason.

Troy is a big fan of Dak's, all you have to do is listen to any interview he does on the radio.

His job is to give an analysis of the game, not be a cheerleader.
Problem is that he bends over backward the other way.....yet Buck doesn't hide a thing when anyone is playing the Cowboys....or Dodgers....his hatred of both teams is soooooo apparent.

I really don’t know where you’re getting that. That’s completely false! They both have been very supportive toward Dak and have complemented his play when he’s played well. They’re being paid to be objective and give honest opinions, not cheerlead the Cowboys.

And I don't think Troy dislikes Jerry. He just dislikes the way he runs the organization. Don't we all.

What Aikman was pointing out was Dak was being too anxious in the pocket at times when there were throws that he could have made before the pressure got there or before he chose to try to bail. I think Dak knew that he was going to use his legs last night whenever it was necessary so he tended to pull the ball down whenever the protection started to break down. Sometimes you've got to trust the protection and make the throw. That's what Aikman was pointing out. Even when you play great that doesn't mean everything you did was perfect. Early on, Dak was just a bit anxious in the pocket.

It's really the same thing we see here with anyone who gives an honest criticism of Dak. You point out anything negative and you're a hater. Every player has things they can do better, that doesn't mean you think a player is bad. It's simply an observation. We have some who cannot handle observations, even if they are accurate.

Aikman was interviewed after the game and said he’s Dak’s biggest fan and one reason why is he is about “team” and winning games and not building stats. It was efffusive so this is just made up

Aikman just like me was disappointed in Dak's play the last half of the season. He was right. But, he has always been a supporter of Dak at QB (he was fan no.1 of Dak replacing Romo). He said Dak should stop worrying about things, plant his foot in the ground and rip it. After those first 2 drives, Dak did just that thing that Aikman said he should.

But you are right about Jerry Jones, he cannot really stand Jerry but tolerates him, for the team of the 90's sake. Jerry said the reason the Cowboys was going 5-11 three years in a row was because Troy got hurt ignoring his Dumbo GM decisions. Aikman met him in the Tunnel of Texas Stadium and was in his face about it. That ticked off Aikman not to have the relationship Irvin has with Jones. Irvin did not live on the down side of the Dynasty Jerry Killed from 1996-2000. Troy lived and played through it.

He is about the only 90's Dynasty player that will not be totally bias for the Cowboys.

Clearly Troy is not like Irvin, who is complete Cowboy homer (I don't say at as a bad thing) but that is why the network hired Troy to be the commentator. They were not looking for a cheerleader, they want someone who has insight into the games.

They call it wrong at times or are way overly critical of Dak. That's a fact. Just listen to them.

Apparently there’s fans that want Aikman to carry on and cheerlead the team like Irvin does during preseason broadcasts. I really don’t take much of what Michael Irvin says about the Cowboys very seriously because he is a homer.
