Even a Trent Dilfer could beat Philthy with the way our D is playing. So even if he (Rush) does that don't mean anything. Now, if he does and then Dak comes back and plays like he did against the Bucs and loses to the Lions, then that question becomes hard.

I don't think Jerry agrees, but this is why I've said you ride Rush until he loses a game. Fans need to see that happen.

Otherwise they'll boo every incomplete pass by Dak, as if Rush never throws one. He'll be Mr. Perfect until he loses a game. Ride the Rush train until if/when it crashes.

All I know is if Rush goes in and gets a win this weekend, and they go back to Dak the next game, Dak better look good.

Because if he doesn't look good, and more importantly, if he loses while looking bad, the media and fan base might be heading to Dallas with their proverbial pitchforks.

Having said that, I don't really think Jerry believes there can be a QB controversy. He's going to go back to Dak and stick with him, regardless. He's not going to let $40 million sit on the bench.

I'm a huge fan of Aikman, and while he is a great commentator and was an outstanding quarterback, his experience has limited his ability to be objective in this matter.
Dak's future as a Cowboys quarterback is already over. He is not a NFL caliber quarterback because he doesn't understand the position or how to lead.
Cooper Rush may not be the future of the Cowboys but he has shown how bad Prescott has been, and that he is far better than Prescott.
If Rush fails, returning to Prescott isn’t an option.

and that is your opinion, many disagree with it including Aikman. He is not objective but you are? lol Dak returning is more than an option it is a reality.

It's crazy Rush is getting the hype over beating the Rams. He had 102 passing yards No TDs. The team won with defense and running the ball. I hope we keep the same philosophy when Dak comes back. I am wondering why teams don't force Rush to beat them. Stop the run and make the Cowboys win by throwing the ball. If the defense wasn't playing as well as it's been playing we would be shouting at the top of our lungs to get a better backup QB because Rush is a bus driver. I mean I remember everyone shouting that in the preseason. It's funny how we forget. Rush is playing mistake-free which I like but Dak is the better player and that is facts.

All this talk about what if the Cowboys beat the Eagles with Rush. How about, what if they lose because the Eagles sat on the running game and made Rush beat them - and he couldn't?

I think they have to play Dak once he is ready to play 100%. The real problem begins when that happens and if Dak looks like he did against the Bucs.

Stats, my friend.

That's what matters to the Dallas Prescott fans.

They don't care that we won by 2 TDS, but instead they care that Rush didn't have crazy stats.

No actually offense stalling out unable to score even vs weak teams is a problem. Not all on Rush but it is a problem. Are you saying if Dak put up 100 yards passing you would be ok with it? I try to be fair and expect Rush to go out and produce just as I would anyone else. Somethings he has done well and something he needs to step up and do better.

No, it makes it easier to wait until he is fully healthy before starting Prescott again.

I’m no big Dak supporter, but I understand that we aren’t winning a championship with Cooper Rush.

Even the biggest of Prescott supporters have to admit he looked terrible vs Tampa as far as accuracy. Do we really want to see him come out and try to throw with a bad hand?

If does and looks awful, that could potentially blow this up.

IMO Prescott sits until he is 100%, and returns the minute he is no matter the circumstances.

I believe that MM feels the same, and while Jerry like to flex, I doubt he overrules anyone here. He still has the fans attention, and that’s all it about for him.

This is every good team’s strategy against the Cowboys WHEN Dak is in the game and it usually works.

Lets stop acting like this gameplan is only going to be used against Rush.
