Don't care if he throws for 300 yards or 150 yards. As long as it's clean and drives the bus straight.

If we win he continues to start until he puts a couple clunkers together. Not even a discussion imo.

Dak is obviously thr better quarterback but you stick with the what's working 100%

This is every good team’s strategy against the Cowboys WHEN Dak is in the game and it usually works.

Lets stop acting like this gameplan is only going to be used against Rush.

No it doesn't. Dak has had his struggles against SOME good teams but he has also lit some up only to have the defense give up 30+ points and/or 200 yards rushing so the Cowboys lost. But we spend too much time blaming the QB for things he has no control over.

The bottom line is that if the defense keeps holding teams to 10 points or less they could start one of us at QB and be at least .500.

No actually offense stalling out unable to score even vs weak teams is a problem. Not all on Rush but it is a problem. Are you saying if Dak put up 100 yards passing you would be ok with it? I try to be fair and expect Rush to go out and produce just as I would anyone else. Somethings he has done well and something he needs to step up and do better.
If we win I don't care how many yards Dak puts up and neither should any Cowboys fan.

Just win the game.

This version of Dak would NEVER throw for just 16 times in a game though. He's got too much of an ego and wants to audible into passing plays whenever he can. Dak can't play like Rush. That's why you will see a worse version of the Cowboys offense when Dak comes back, even if they score a few more PPGs. PPG aren't everything. Nice, long, time consuming drives are the keys to victory with this roster.

For what it's worth I'd take you over Dak, Ronnie.

There is no question at all as it stand now:

Dallas offense:
  • 2nd worst at reaching the RZ
  • 4th worst on 3rd downs
  • Over the last 4 weeks 3 & out %: 10% 27% 46% 60%
  • TD rate: 20% 18% 15% 10%
  • 71% of the scoring have been FGs highest in the NFL

BS, Dallas went 12-5 and you whined about it, oh we played no one. Fact is Rush will need to step up and these long time consuming drives Really because I don't see that, we are not coverting 3rd downs we are 27th in TOP not good for a ball control offensive system. I don't put this all on Rush as a unit we need to do better including Rush. Right now one of the best weapons we have is Brian Anger who can flip field position. I am not anti Rush I want him to play well and I want to win you can't say the same for Dak, you spend damn near every waking hour around here looking to slam him. So stop the BS of as long as we win, because that is not the crap you have been selling here when it comes to Prescott

With the way our defense is playing either QB can win, unless we are playing someone like the Chiefs or the Bill's. I doubt if any of our QBs can score enough points to beat those guys. Course every team in the league has that same problem. Philly ain't that good and are too high in the power rankings.

The score would have been 13-10 if our defense and special teams didn't chip in.
How do you know this?

It might be because we were so dominant in those areas, KellMo scaled back the offense.
Translation: there was really no need for the offensive game plan to be pass, pass, pass because the Rams were incapable of mounting a threat based on the early lead.

Do you think we would have employed the same strategy with Dak? Or would we have put the ball in the air unnecessarily?

Why do you constantly, unprovoked, respond to things I say and then get all emotional because I don't change my opinion to match yours?

That's weird, bro.

I'm a huge fan of Aikman, and while he is a great commentator and was an outstanding quarterback, his experience has limited his ability to be objective in this matter.
Dak's future as a Cowboys quarterback is already over. He is not a NFL caliber quarterback because he doesn't understand the position or how to lead.
Cooper Rush may not be the future of the Cowboys but he has shown how bad Prescott has been, and that he is far better than Prescott.
If Rush fails, returning to Prescott isn’t an option.
Dak may have his faults as a QB but the lack of understanding of how to lead is NOT one of them.

The goal is to score points with every possession... (unless you're running out the clock). That's how I know.

The fact that they couldn't keep Donald off Rush might have also had something to do with that. If we HAD tried to pass 35 times in that game I am certain we would have gotten to see the debut of Will Grier in a Cowboys uniform. They had to pick their spots to throw the ball.. and don't forget how badly the pass failed them in their red zone trips. I think after those two drives McCarthy had seen enough and told Moore that if he called another pass they were going to have to meet outside in the parking lot..

Fe9JnynWAAEDH0a

I listened to his entire conversation.

He said to please do not mistake this as him in any way him saying Cooper Rush should be the starter. He warned that some would misread what he is saying....and it appears he was riht. lol

He said no way Rush is better and Dak is the starter and Dallas is better team with Dak asthe started.....plain and simple
.

All he was saying is that now people will talk about it more.

It is hilarious to me reading about the teams fans, the individual (Dak) fans, and the haters.

I am a Cowboys fan. I don't care about Jerrys money. Dak (or any other player for that matter) can sit the bench for the next 5 years, making 50M a year, and never see a snap, as long as they win every game including Superbowls.

Rush plays good and wins, keep starting him. Doesn’t? Start Dak. Dak plays bad? Ok start rush. Ok they both do bad. Ok start Grier. Ok they all do bad again? Well no super bowl. No start Nooch.

BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH.
Who F****** cares. We’ll find out as the season unfolds. Just grab your popcorn and enjoy the games.

My previous statement on an earlier post still stands.
And that is Coop could have negative passing stats for all I care.
This applies to this game against Philly or if it was the Super Bowl.
IF Dallas won 2-0 on a safety, I'm good.

All the rest is just talk to me, regardless of who says it.

Not if Rush looks like crap doing so. If he drops 450 on the Eagles, then you start to ponder.
NOPE...not against the Eagles. Just win.

Now...if he can;t put up some numbers against Bears and Lions....you MIGHT have a point.

Just keep doing what you are doing Cooper Rush. Let the chips fall and the story play.

I don't want to get into yet another Dak debate, but we still don't know whether Dak would do better with this great defense the same as Rush has.

Dak managed a measly 3 points with the same defense that held Tampa Bay to one touchdown and four field goals. Dallas' offense - led by Dak - scored 3 points in the first half and that was it.

So the jury is still out on how much more improved we will be if and when Dak assumes control of the offense.

I'm with Aikman. If Rush keeps winning, it's going to be an interesting dilemma. I support keeping Rush as the starter as long as we're winning. I think you've got to ride the hot hand.

But we're not going undefeated from here on out. At least I don't think we are. So Dak is going to come back as the starter. We'll see if he elevates the team, maintains/plateaus or struggles even with this defense.

One of the complaints logged in this forum is that Dak needs players around him. Well, now he has a great defense.

This is the year the excuses and rationalizations get answered about Mr. Rayne Dakota Prescott.
