It becomes a question. But unless Rush really shows he can step up his passing game when it counts, which I'm not sure if he can or cannot, then Dak will be the guy, simply because of what he can do with his arm.

I hope this isn't one of those games where Rush overthinks it and/or tries too hard, and ends up screwing up.

I lost some respect for Troy when he apologized for the NFL should “take off the “ dress” quote. Not sure he won’t be walking this back soon as well . Like Del Rio getting slammed in DC fined a 100k for expressing an opinion .

JonesTown did not spend a 140 million for back up QB’s to UDFA . That simple .

Egads, unpleasant sow. Have you no couth? Methinks you need to be re-instructed at the local nunnery. Have you mum expend the 50 quid. Too much dark sarcasm in the classroom for you.

Tha takes me back many years to secondary (you shall call it junior high level) when a kid would try to be funny using the arcane and colloquial to provide zit-faced humor way past its expiration date.
Utter failed you did. Utterly, Mr. Cow.

Rush has done enough to win. More importantly, he’s made plays when it mattered. Rush hasn’t been in a garbage time scenario, down by a lot of points where the defense plays off and he can pad stats with short dump offs or short range passes. Could he bring a team back in such a scenario like an elite QB? I don’t think so, but he can throw for a lot of yards like he did in the Minnesota game last year and win it. He seems to have good composure, knows where to go with his reads (is smart), and gets the ball out on time and to the receiver even if he doesn’t throw darts with exceptional accuracy. He’s doing nothing to cost the team and just enough to win so far.

There is no controversy. Also Dak cant be traded or release. His contract has too much money left and he has a no trade clause. If anything Rush may have earn his pay day out of Dallas next year.

Exactly.............I am surprised this has to actually be explained to people, its like football 101

When a team gives a player $160 million, they are the starter no matter what. If Dak is in a freaking wheelchair, he is going to be out on the field rolling himself around each play, LOL.

There is no scenario or precedent in the history of the NFL where a player was given hundreds of millions of dollars to be a backup. Yet some folks seem to think this is going to happen in Dallas.

Cooper Rush making 970K is going to win the starting job from Dak making $40 mill a season, all guaranteed. Seriously:huh:

I like how the questions have been (mostly) answered for Cooper Rush. But the goal posts got moved. We went from "we'll never win another game with Cooper" to "well he's an okay back up but..."
Hey, you're on to something!

I couldn't understand why our kicking game was so erratic over the last few years. It's because we keep moving the goalposts for the QBs.

Not if Rush looks like crap doing so. If he drops 450 on the Eagles, then you start to ponder.

don’t cry bro. If your really a fan of the Cowboys. You will be happy we keep on wining. I’m so tired of the Dakota Rhayne fan boos crying in their sleep. Dakota sucks. Look forward to our new QB and embrace it

Even a Trent Dilfer could beat Philthy with the way our D is playing. So even if he (Rush) does that don't mean anything. Now, if he does and then Dak comes back and plays like he did against the Bucs and loses to the Lions, then that question becomes hard.

pits ok don’t cry Dak
No, it makes it easier to wait until he is fully healthy before starting Prescott again.

I’m no big Dak supporter, but I understand that we aren’t winning a championship with Cooper Rush.

Even the biggest of Prescott supporters have to admit he looked terrible vs Tampa as far as accuracy. Do we really want to see him come out and try to throw with a bad hand?

If does and looks awful, that could potentially blow this up.

IMO Prescott sits until he is 100%, and returns the minute he is no matter the circumstances.

I believe that MM feels the same, and while Jerry like to flex, I doubt he overrules anyone here. He still has the fans attention, and that’s all it about for him.

closet Hater. Why can’t you fools be happy we are wining. Instead of licking Daks balls !?!

When did expressing an opinion mean publicly caving and in Del Rios case a 100k $ fine ?

Troy works for Amazon which is bad enough on the spectrum of thought police how is he working for Disney ? Are these companies all tangled up ?

Sensitive, aren't you? My post was solely an opinion response to the headline and had nothing to do with the Dak love/Dak hate nonsense you morons engage in. A neutral response does this to you and you accuse me of crying? Freud would love your picture perfect projection demonstration here. Lol.

If you move on from dak this year for rush you move on forever and the salary cap hit and downgrading at QB would set this franchise back years. But what about what happened to Tony Romo why didn’t he get his job back? Glad you asked. He was a broken down player at the end of his career who left the team with a 10.5 million cap hit in 2017. It is nowhere near the same situation and if you wanna use that talking point somewhere look at LT for that.

What would you call that 4th quarter when he came in with the team down 19-3? Seems a lot like garbage time to me.. I am very happy that we have won these games with Rush at the helm.. but after seeing the 3-4 dropped INTs against Cincy and then the two caught INTs negated by penalty against the Commandos.. I am able to recognize that he's been REALLY lucky. He has played well in spurts and done just enough to get the W.. but I aint buildin my team around a rabbit's foot.

Sorry Troy, no owner is paying a healthy QB $40 million per, to stand on the sideline and hold a clipboard.
