:D Did anyone else find Aikman's playcalling annoying today? He sounded like a Commanders homer. I mean how many times did he bring up how poorly the cowboys looked in the last few games? I felt like some ES members were in the announcing booth today. *G*

i find those whining about aikmans whining far more annoying.

No no no, don't correct him, I'm just getting over strep throat and he's got me laughing my arse off. This is great.

 yeah, because according to your logic Aikman has some sort of need to contradict Jimmy. I didn't know there was animosity there.

*yawn* :D So tell me then, what compelled Aikman to mention what Jimmy said? Are you implying that Aikman wanted to contradict Jimmy? What was the purpose? Gotta love the logic...
He contradicted Jimmy not himself. You said something stupid because you were too busy whining. Please, by all means carry on.

Why are you avoiding the question? Why did Aikman feel the need to contradict Jimmy? It is your logic that is saying that he did.

I haven't hated Troy until there was no crying for a pass interference on the Springs INT. It was the EXACT SAME THING that Watkins did a few weeks ago that he cried about incessantly. Instead he defended it now? Come on

"Loved him as a player, he was a GREAT Cowboy but SUCKS when doing Boyz games. It's just that simple..."

I'm afraid i have to agree. He and Buck are terrible doing Cowboys games.

And for those that think he bleeds Dallas blue (which i hope he does), please explain the 'we shouldn't be allowed to have home games before Thanksgiving because we get an unfair advantage' comment.

What is that? If he really loved the Cowboys he would never, ever, as a national broadcaster, make that kind of statement. Even if he believed it, would you, if you thought it might in any way lead to that type of scheduling never occuring again? Exactly.

The other explanation is that maybe hes well .. not too bright, i don't know, i can't think of any other way of understanding it.

The top quote describes my humble opinion perfectly. Love the guy, but keep him (and Buck) away from the Cowboys.

i have to agree troy and buck are so terrible doing cowboys games its rediculous.

And they try to overhype every situation to add suspense to these games its terrible.

Like romo going off the feild before the half they were oohing and ahhing like he was carted off and he was just walking off the feild with his head down,

Troy also stated that dallas wasn't missing that many players other than newman and ratliff on defense, and that we were playing everybody else???

did he notice that alan ball, courtney brown, reeves and bowen, burnett, hatcher, were all in the game at the time last time i checked they were backups???

Him and buck also kept trying to make the game seem like dallas was really trying to win the game and it was important to us

And if washington would have dropped the touchdowns that we did and missed some of the oppourtunites we missed they would've been saying oh dallas has been getting bailed out because of the Commanders missed oppourtunities.

I loved troy as a player he was fearless and a great player but this whole objective thing has gone overboard.

He tries too hard, buck wants to have farve's baby and hates our boys.

I think personally that dallas thought about ruining the skins chances but they saw how much the skins wanted this game and really said its not that important especially without all the guys they had out of the game.

Im just saying some things dont have to be said during the game just call the game troy.

aikman goes out of his way to try not to show favortism to the cowboys, in fact so much that it looks like he actually hates them.

I find it funny that no matter what teams message board you cruise to, somehow that teams fanbase feels the media hates them.

I find it funny that no matter what teams message board you cruise to, someone is always putting words in someone else's mouth. Please provide the quote where someone says the Media hates us, in this thread. I'm sorry that it is difficult to understand that we're talking about one person here. I don't remember saying that he hates us either, moreso that he annoys me as an announcer, and that I don't find him objective. So perhaps you will choose your words of wisdom more carefully next time you try to silence an opinion you don't like by over generalizing.

I've been writing about this for years. My threads get deleted or no one comments on them. But it has made me really not like Troy anymore. And that's pretty harsh considering what he's done for the team. I just HATE his envious voice. He's an envious hater, for sure.

And I just notice something I said that the people who play the "Whiner" card conveniently ignored.

It is one thing to bring up something once as your opinion, and then shut up about it, but Aikman brought it up over and over, beating a dead horse. To me that's a sign of not being objective. It is also the reason you don't watch games with some people. Many of us really hate it when someone brings up something negative over and over again, while we are watching a game, especially when it is early in the first quarter. Aikman is about as objective as one of those people that get banned from your house on Sundays.

I think part of that is somewhat of a pathetic situation in that Troy wishes he was still playing like Brett Favre. So he carries bitterness. People will say that's not true, but he hung 'em up a lot earlier than a good deal of quarterbacks do.

You must be new to this forum. According to many here, Aikman goes OUT OF HIS WAY to not give the Cowboys any praise.

Secretly, I bet he still has is Cowboys boxers on in the press box. :laugh1:
...and Joe Buck's hand in his pocket.

There was absolutely no reason for him to say that other than to "show" he's unbias.

Oh, so now Aikman contradicted Jimmy? Give it up dude. You said something that was a flat out lie just to bash Troy and you got called on it.
