I agree that it isn't good to stay together and fight, I'm just saying there are no "good reasons" for getting to the point that divorce is necessary.

There are a lot of reasons why divorce is necessary in some cases.

Now that is completely true.

So, should good looking chicks leave their husbands when they go bald or add a paunch or just if some handsome stud winks at them?

Is it really all about superficial looks?

Is there any place for personality, intelligence, wisdom, hard working dedication, loyalty or any other desirable personal traits or is looks everything? If so, should any man marry anyone but supermodels and trade them in every year like cars?

I think we are becoming a very superficial society. Those who think that appearance is superior to substance have a rude awakening coming.

Or, should I say rued?

My wife may not be as pretty as she once was but I wouldn't trade her for any one else I can think of, especially some idiot chick who thinks looks are more imortant than substance.

JMO, do whatever turns you on.

First, lets keep this point in balance. (note to self - good luck, at CZ, you're not allowed to have balanced perspectives, only extreme ones so that those who disagree can point out the fallacy in the point you really aren't even making). No one has suggested that it should be ALL about looks with no other considerations but that is exactly your counterpoint here. Congrats - you are certified at CZ for another year.

2nd - As a general rule men are more likely to be visually stimulated. So I wouldn't paint both sexes with the same brush.

To clarify the original point, does physical appearance of his spouse matter to a man? For many the answer is yes. That doesn't mean its automatically the #1 criteria. But it certainly can be a factor.

Let me also add that unhappiness in one area of marriage can often manifest & complicate another area. It doesn't have to be about 1 single thing.

As Patti on Millionaire Matchmaker says, the ***** picks, men are visual and pick the best looking woman.
