I personally thought the previous crew was the best they had in years but they lacked star power.

Aikman and Buck being popular is the same as Jay Leno being popular.

The majority of people watching TV must be old people with no sense of humor and vanilla personalities.

Opposed to what? A bunch of Gen X still crying because Buck had a poor angle when Randy Moss fake mooned a crowd?

Buck is almost always ranked right at the top when it comes to mistake free commentating. And I have no idea how anyone can watch his highlights and not get pumped, his Diggs call is a classic and his Deebo one from a few weeks ago is also fantastic. I only have Kevin Burkhardt ahead of him right now.
