I won't argue with a single thing you said. I watch them anyway. So you can imagine what I think about the regular broadcast.

Yeah, you must really hate the regular broadcast. I would just mute the volume.

I don't think anyone tunes in for the announcing crew but Aikman and Buck are doing something they never did on Fox, inside, wink and a nod, jokes like that staying out of trouble in the Quarter last night. Aikman would have never even intimated that on Fox on the afternoon broadcast. And there was definitely an inside joke between them and the ref analyst last night.

I can tell you this, that is Never Break Rule #2 in broadcasting, never make the audience feel they are not in the know. And damn, I want to know what kind of trouble ole Troy's been getting into.
Troy is str8er than an eagle scout.

Always found it odd they went out to get Buck and Aikman from Fox but then have the Manning Cast on ESPN 2.
ABC is owned by disney, and they just buy everything, and then screw it up.

I watched the cowboys on mnf, but that is it.

Aikman gets on my nerves, he glorifies players but only after they do something lol.
Then he is always saying a play would have gone a long way or for a td , like he did with the murray fumble in GB.
That is all BS. Dont really care for his announcing.

I think daryl johnston aka the moose is one of the best nfl announcers, but since he was just a FB, he doesnt get any attention or money lol.
I love when he does a game I am watching.

The mannings suck.
Tony is good.
dont watch thur nite games anymore.
Al and chris were a good team, but got broke up.

This, give me the original 3.

No doubt the original three was the best. Other than the Dennis Miller debacle, the worst group was Mike “Holy Cow” Patrick, Paul, McGuire, and Joe Theismann. All Maguire and Theismann did was bicker with each other. Every good play was like the greatest player of all time to Mike Patrick… HOLY COW!!!

I watched the MNF version with the Mannings once and never again! Just watching Peyton Manning sitting with his eyes bugging out and his mouth open watching the TV like he’s watching a disaster unfold was enough for me. He always has that look of amazement on his face. I made the mistake of recording MNF with those two and was stuck with it.
Peyton and Eli were both blessed with a very nurturing and caring mother.
She called Peyton "Peytie Pie" as a child, she loved Peyton more than Eli and why Eli doesn't smile as much.

Peyton and Eli don’t even look like brothers. Eli and Cooper look alike but Peyton must have been adopted.

Only seen one MNF game this season so I don't know about that, but I do miss Troy on Sundays.

That was the worst experiment in the history of MNF. Miller always looked like he just rolled out of bed as the telecast started with his hair all sticking up, adjusting his sport coat. They brought him in to add a little humor to the booth and he wasn’t even funny. I read where Al Michaels wasn’t happy working with him.
He was a smart*** that used a lot of obscure references and fifty cent words that were beyond the education level of many alpha male macho types, which they hate. They had an over abundance of straight men, and were attempting something different to balance things out, but it just didn’t work. It was TOO different, and the masses fear different.

The three man crew they had the previous couple of seasons were better than Aikman and Buck, but ESPN wanted star power.

They wanted to add someone that had a sense of humor ala Don Meredith. Dennis Miller kept asking Dan Fouts football questions. Danny why do they do this and Danny why do they do that? It was a terrible fail on ABC’s part.

Can’t succeed without failing. He was a comedian, trying to learn by asking questions. The average football fan didn’t have the patience for it, which is why it didn’t last.

They are both so boring and old fashioned now. And I can’t stand Bucks nauseating voice. He tried too hard to deepen his voice
They have to be, the woke networks control them. They aren’t free to just shoot the bull anymore. Can’t just let it flow. Your entire career and income hinges on the misuse of one word at any moment. And they all know it and this makes them very awkward on the air.

Doing some reading on it ABC’s ratings for MNF had been dropping for five consecutive years and they were in panic mode so they decided to bring in Dennis Miller in 2000 to add comedic relief and it didn’t work. The ratings continued to drop until they lured John Madden over.

Don Meredith was a laid back Southern gentleman, a good natured party boy. Dennis Miller was an over educated smart aleck comedian who referenced Fellini and Shakespeare—quite a bit different from Dandy Don.

The experiment was doomed from the beginning.

I miss Madden.

Aikman and Buck being popular is the same as Jay Leno being popular.

The majority of people watching TV must be old people with no sense of humor and vanilla personalities.
