How about no.

Oh well, thanks for the memories Greg--at least you tried and were a solid player. That's a lot more than can be said of some of his campo-era teammates.

Greg: "See, I told you they were all out to get me. I just knew I wasn't wanted. It wasn't my imagination."

Jon88;3301006 said:I don't think he was ever the same after he broke his leg. That season he was an All-Pro. He never regained form after that in my opinion.
Illini88228;3301026 said:It didn't completely kill his career, but you're right, it might have been a whole different story if he hadn't had that injury.
It always seemed like he was never quite as quick or powerful really after that injury. What could have been....

Jon88;3301029 said:I agree. That year he had like two 90 yard touchdowns and was a force on defense. He never was as dominating after the injury.
2much2soon;3301070 said:That was always my take.
After the injury, he was solid (on very bad teams with Ekuban/Meyers/Spellman and other assorted JAGs) to a little above average (on better teams with Ware).
Right before the injury he was playing so good there was a little talk of him being DPOY. Dude was all over the field and was a force.
Jon88;3301074 said:It's a shame. Spellman rolled right over him and was gone a year after that.
2much2soon;3301083 said:Was that who did it? It was against Atlanta, too, wasn't it? I can almost picture the play...
I agree especially if he doesn't start. As a #3DE who could rotate in on passing downs he might still have some value.Yeagermeister;3301023 said:I think he'd be better off going to a 4-3 and moving back to DE. He's not a LB and never was.

No I don't want him, when the Raiders don't want someone it speaks volumes.
rkell87;3301234 said:they didnt want randy moss and the next season he caught, what? like 23 TDs? not a ellis fan but maybe the raiders not wanting him speaks volumes in favor of ellis?

Now the Raiders?
