Please Jerry, dont even think of bringing this guy back. I dont think I could stand another year of his constant crying.

Dam, my 5 yr old cousin doesnt cry as much as Greg did. Please Jerry, its bad enough we have to watch Roy, Greg would just be over the top.

Why are you worried? He's gone. We already cut him and he cried all the way to Oakland. Now he can cry all the way to McDonald's.

When he's fired from there he can cry all the way to God about the Sun rising.

Cut by two teams in one year.

Greg: "See, I told you they were all out to get me. I just knew I wasn't wanted. It wasn't my imagination."

Your signature is pretty offensive. That's uncalled for.

Sickening.

That would be a revolting development.

Javon Walker was a horrendous contract, but Greg Ellis was a relatively cheap vet signing stop gap .. .not unlike Brookings for us.

I wouldn't be surprised if Greg lands in New Orleans since they just cut Charles Grant and are thin at DE. Sean Payton has ties to him, and Mike Zimmer's son is a defensive assistant coach there.

Sounds like a plan. He deserves that much but not any more.

Sign Ellis like the Saints signed McCallister last season. Let him enjoy a Super Bowl win finally.

THAT'S RIGHT. Dallas in winning the Super Bowl in their own stadium!!!!!

Ellis would complain that he didn't get enough playing time in the Superbowl, but then insist that he's not complaining, and says he understands the situation, but then say maybe he would be better off sitting on another Superbowl bench. Then he would say there are no hard feelings, but then go to the media and leak out some mistakes Anthony Spencer made in the game to make him look bad.

The media would then go to great lengths to tell everyone what a great guy Greg Ellis is.

Playing time? Who said anything about playing time? I said just "sign" the guy. LOL.

The Saints cut McAllister before they played in the Super Bowl.

Greg Ellis had a respectable career when this team wasn't very good . He played consistently and always showed up on the field. He had some anxieties around his contract, but they weren't major issues with htis team. When Jones relaeased him, he had given his best to this team. He was a good, not great player who shall forever be known as the guy the Cowboys picked when they passed on Randy Moss.

If the Raiders don't want him he's pretty much done.

Ellis actually had a decent year. He just isn't the kind of player that you need on a rebuilding team. I expect he'll find himself on a team in need of some pass rush help next year

Keep him the heck out of our locker room.

He was as bad as Owens, imo.

I know he isn't coming back, but it feels good to say it.

I don't like Ellis.

He was over rated by many Dallas fans.

I would have booted him after that 2007 Giants debacle, because he was part of it on defense.

#41 was also part of that defense....

You really are genius aren't you?

He'd be a great 3rd pass rusher but that's only if he'd accept that role and stop crying.

We are younger and better at the position so he is probably a better fit elsewhere. He'd be a good fit in Washington actually.

All that said I'd like to see him retire a Cowboy. He played here a long time and always gave great effort. He was a whine bag the last few years but Emmitt didn't exactly leave Dallas with class and yet we love him.

Man you guys are harsh on a guy who gave a lot of blood sweat and tears for this Team and played hard when we were not very good !

Quit being so bitter and learn to be a little more appreciative !

I think being in Oakland likely gave him some perspective that he was lacking. He's a guy who if he's willing to shut up and accept a role can make another 5-6 mill in the league over the next few years.

They loaded up in the draft for this year and next....baaastids

I wonder how that works. If there is a lockout next year, what happens to the draft picks that were traded for. I assume they would get them the following season?
