When Al Harris was our secondary coach we were one of the league leaders in creating defensive turnovers. He is now with the Bears and no surprise they are leading the league in that department. He worked under Quinn for several years and can install a similar scheme that they were more successful with.

I don’t think he left Dallas on good terms but supposedly Diggs and Bland credit him for their play. I would want a bigger fish. We trying to win a Super Bowl next season.

I wouldn't be opposed to this move at all.

But, I don't see the owner and his son making the move for Harris. They seem to like DCs with former HC experience.

Weren't there rumors or whispers that the FO thought Harris was too player friendly? Can't remember. Even if that is true they should interview him. Schotty is considered a player friendly coach as well.

No, he said he was a good motivation but he didn't not know the Xs and Os to be a DC

Get a real DC in here I think Harris has a bright future but man get someone who has shown they can do it no no guys learning on the job.
Like who? It would have to be somebody who has shown to create a top tier defense before. Who fits that bill? You either get somebody who fits that bill or get a new guy. No more mid tier eberflus'

Why are we going to replace a defensive coordinator whom everyone rags on as not understanding the X and Os well enough with a coach who has admitted that X and Os are not his thing?

Solution is to bring in defensive talent. Make any Coach look good.

- Re-sign the key Offensive free agents. They are deep enough, so spend entire draft on defense.
- Spend in free agency. Have to find your Pickens and Javonte on D-Side, not just O.
- Avoid all these injury gambles that Jerry loves to throw the dice on in draft on D
- No more first round picks on offensive line. They have enough, they need to sink or swim.
- Since Cowboys have shown they're not great at drafting good defensive linemen with high picks, I would look at trading a future first round pick for a guy like Maxx Crosby who might be available.

Tips: Don't trade your best defender (right no it would be Quinnen) the week before the season begins. Just a suggestion.

Word has it that DQ may be available in January, only a phone call away, Jerruh.
I kid, I kid.

Al Harris should have never been allowed out of the Cowboys facility without a promotion and new contract.
