Al Harris should be on the Cowboys radar as DC!

He should but he won't, they didn't care for him that much, was too much of a players coach especially for that CB room

He’s better than the crap we have. He did what he was suppose to do without any linebackers and defensive tackles. He can’t turn bread into wine.

The lions barely fielded a healthy defense against our "unstoppable offense" and Sheppard coaching performance was better than anything Quinn ever did post Seattle.

Go young or get a guy who wasn't carried by greatness. Quinn is like getting Raheem Morris. Winning with ramsey, Donald and von Miller isn't a special feat

but he's not the DC.. It's also not always going to have the same players but you're giving credit to a guy 'cause he's there but you don't know that isn't a team effort on the coaching staff from top to bottom the scheme the design they happen to have the roster to run it blah blah blah we can talk about this all day....

You can never be the guy until you get a shot. Sheppard wasn't the guy in Detroit but he sure made our offense look stupid last week. Sheppard is just one example. There are many more.

He worked under Quinn for several years and can install a similar scheme that they were more successful with.

Our offense did not look stupid Apparently you didn't pay attention they completed those passes they put up 30 points and could have put up more they just had a couple of players that made more of an effort that still has nothing to do with Al Harris You're getting a little off point he's never been to DC therefore you can't get credit for what the defense is doing because you're working for the person that is probably making it successful along with some of the players.

And how's that Detroit Lions defense doing hell even the offensive coordinators that left and the new ones they're not doing that good I don't see how you think they made our offense look different our defense is in special teams are what struggled the most yeah the ball got pulled out a couple of times but they were completed passes the ball got to where it was supposed to go that means the play was designed right we didn't get tricked into anything put more effort into taking the ball away that was it..

So I don't even really see where you're trying to go with this I don't even know who Shepherd is I don't even know what you're talking about 'cause I don't care I can just tell you that you're wrong about making our offense did not look silly with all the mistakes we were only down by three with 10 minutes to go that's not silly at all that's having some of our players lose focus and their players made a little more effort but their defense didn't play that well they gave up 30 points and it could have been a lot more have they not put in a little bit more effort at the end of those plays which they did now our defense and special teams didn't look silly they look horrible so whatever word you want to use you could I could agree with you.


Our offense no our offense actually played a lot better than it looked on paper because some of our players just flat out lost focus that's it the play was designed to get guys open and get the ball to them and it did.....

You mean the defense that hasn't looked right since Aaron Glenn left You're going to use injuries as an excuse because we could do that too i'm not sure where you're getting that his defense did not make our offense looks silly they scored 30 points and could have scored more Their guys just made a little more effort than ours that's it that's my shortest answer you're wrong you're off base I don't see how you saw that in that game we literally was a three point game they gave up 30 points and it could have been a lot more had their players just simply not made the big effort and that's not on the coast that's on the players those players were mad those balls got completed and they dragged him out of our guy's hands That's not by design that is by effort And some luck to go along the way..

Yeah I'm worried about it at all i'm sitting here trying to figure out what you're trying to say and you're just giving credit to a defense it hasn't been good all year not since Aaron Glenn left and weren't good against us it was his players that made the extra effort plays but the guys were open did you not see over 400 yards of offense and 30 points and that's with our offense giving up the ball four times?

Those turnovers weren't designed because of the defense they were yanked out of our guys hands because his players made a lot of effort that is not because of defensive coordinator coached them to do it it happened to work out that game..

I do realize that they replace both of their coordinators this year and their offensive coordinator already had the play calling snatched away and now the head coach is doing it and their defensive coordinator there has been not up to par he's not Aaron Glenn they've been struggling all year on defense in high scoring games not quite as bad as ours but if you can't see they got lucky that the players themselves made the extra effort to pull the ball out of our players hands it wasn't the defensive game plan or scheme because they gave up over 400 yards of offense 30 points and it could have been much worse..


Oh yeah their defense was better than ours that's not saying much..

I'm not against hiring Al Harris i'm just telling you beware of all this height you're giving him before he even steps on the field It's bad as bad as everyone saying Brian Schottenheimer has never been a true play calling offensive coordinator or a head coach and I think that's how the ball has been doing pretty damn good..

So I can see both side of it I didn't say Al Harris shouldn't be on their radar i'm just telling you to be careful anointing him for all the good things that happens on the defenses he's been part of when he has not been the main guy.....

Before injuries detroit had a top 10 defense. But I'm not going to go back and forth with you. You win. Sheppard is a nobody. Got it
 
Al Harris is not a boot licking Yes Man .,...... so he will never fit in as Jerry's HC or DC

To my understanding. Harris was McCartney's guy. Not Quinn! Plus Harris was under contract with Dallas and couldn't go to Washington unless Jerry signed off on it which wasn't going to happen, how Quinn pretty much screwed us in the playoffs before his departure. Eberflus was brought in this year and wanted his own guys under him which he brought Overstreet (DBs), Bing (DL) and Borgonzi (LB) , Curtis (S) with him from Chicago. Which all these guys sucked in Chicago and brought that same crap to Dallas

Jerry got finessed letting Harris go and now he's brought the See ball/ Take Ball mentality to Chicago and got that secondary once again the one of the best in the NFL.
