You went well beyond saying that Al Johnson would keep his job. You said that Gurode had virtually no chance to earn the backup role over Tyson Walter. You also, in no uncertain terms, said that Gurode was a bust and then alluded to flushing. One can only assume you meant he should be cut. The odds were obviously in favor for Johnson to keep his job, he did well last year and Gurode had lost his job as guard. So claiming that you had some keen insight about that is a bit silly. But you definitely thought Gurode was a bust and couldn't earn the backup role, and since he's going to be rotating in at center with Johnson I'd say you were about as wrong about that as could be.

And the 3 - 4 nonsense has been pointed out to you over and over. You have claimed we were making the switch since Parcells arrived. You are the broken clock who was eventually right. And 90% of the people who thought it unlikely we were switching did so because of our lack of personnel. Something that has obviously changed drastically over the time Parcells has been here. Since we didn't switch with our own personnel everyone who said we wouldn't was actually right - you were flat out wrong. Since Parcells has been a long 3 - 4 advocate - even specialist - it was not a tough call that he'd like to run the 3 - 4. But the key point, and one you clearly couldn't grasp then and still apparently don't, is that we didn't have the players to run it. Now we do.

I had doubts Gurode could hold aff Walters and be a backup center. Appears he has secured the backup gig. He has been a bust to date. Benched last year. Dude was almost a 1st round pick (very high 2nd). Players drafted there need to be impact STARTERS. Not backups.


Now all are "onboard" with 3-4. LOL I advocated 3-4 move after 1st year. Advocated 3-4 hybrids. 99% scoffed - no LB's, Dline smurfs and we were #1 D. D imploded last year.....THE VAST MAJORITY OF THIS board was all 4-3 this offseason. Howard trade advocates. All the excuses to stay in a wimpy 4-3 cover 2 (HH hope all is well)

A lot of people are NOW lining up against what they resisted tooth and nail. Spin it all you want, thats what happened here.

Yeah, he's secured the backup gig enough to get rotated in - Parcells himself has said that the term 'starter' is overrated and now he's going to prove it with Gurode. You thought the guy would be cut or traded, you said outright that he couldn't beat out Walter for the backup center/guard position. You were 100% wrong. No ifs ands or buts, you wanted him cut and instead he's going to be part of a center rotation.

Because we didn't have the players. You know, all those draft picks and free agent guys we went out and got this offseason to make it work. If it could have worked back when you were 'advocating' it then we wouldn't have needed all those players like Burnett, Canty, Fergie, Spears, Ware... You can't possibly be this dumb, so I have to assume you are the only one here trying to spin things.

Yeah, it's amazing how many people used the 'excuse' that we didn't have the players. And it's just a coincedence that Parcells went out and added no less than 5 defensive players he wants to contribute heavily in the 3 - 4 system - all guys who are perfect for the same 3 - 4 we couldn't run with our personnel before. Exactly how much anti-psychotic medicine are you supposed to be on?
