It's simple. Prove everybody wrong. I hope the whole team plays with a chip on their shoulder. It's us against them.

I was hoping for an angry team when the whole suspension mess started and I just don't see it.

I chalk that apathetic approach to the leadership.

This team should be angry and ticked off they just got their best player taken away from them on something that has not been proven.

Instead, they act like nothing is happening.

I get that you want to maintain composure, keep chopping wood whatever.

It just would be nice to see an emotional response from this squad from time to time. This is a game of emotions whether anyone wants to admit it or not.

I agree.

If you play fantasy football you know that production from RB's is more about opportunity than it is talent.

Well the guys we have will get opportunity and their talent is still above average.

Where we will miss Zeke is 3rd and 2. 4th & 1. The passing game. The small details.

We will still get good overall production from the RB's but the extra first down we may get with Elliot is what we need from these guys.

Those are arguably some of the most important characteristics between winning and losing. Elliott WINS a lot of these battles because he's a special player. Can Morris/McFadden do an adequate job? Probably. But don't expect them to win those battles at the rate Elliott does.

Alfred Morris: Doubting Cowboys RBs is 'insulting'

With Ezekiel Elliott's suspension reinstated, the big question heading into Sunday's tilt against the Kansas City Chiefs is how the Dallas Cowboys will replace their best backfield weapon.

Not everyone views those questions as legitimate.

"These questions, I chuckle at them, but at the same time it's very insulting because we're pros," Alfred Morris said, via the team's official website. "Nothing changes at all for me, other than all these cameras in my face."

Morris appears in line to take the bulk of the carries in Zeke's stead. With offensive lineman Zach Marin insisting the team plans to run the same sort of plays, that workload has the potential to skyrocket.

Morris hasn't earned more than four carries in any game this season. In two years with the Cowboys, the 28-year-old has one game with double-digit carries (a blowout versus Cleveland in Week 9 last season). Morris, however, earned more than 200 attempts in each of his first four seasons with the Washington Commanders.

"It's no pressure. I mean, I've done this before," he said. "I came out as a rookie and I've done this before. I've done it my first few years -- over 1,000 yards. I was productive."

We as fans have no idea how this will workout with Morris and McFadden.

Its not been done since Zeke arrived.

This was supposed to be our backfield before Zeke got drafted.

So we don't really know.

I think we will be stable at running back and Smith factors as well.

We have no idea what is coming...

The OL is relatively heathy except Smith.

The receivers have been playing well.

The defense has improved with a pass rush and better defensive play in the secondary.

it maybe great.

Let's get the popcorn and beers out fellas.

6 weeks off for Zeke and then him returning is like he had an injury.

Let's see how the other 53 guys respond to adversity.

Bradie missed 4 games and they went to the SB.

Well when the ball is snapped and in their hands, it is about them.

It's about whether this coaching staff for once, can overcome injuries to there star players.

Dak, Zeke, Lee and now Tank are there absolute most important players. They need to be creative and create mismatches and opportunites for the players.

Morris can carry the rock well enough. With JG getting out coached by two young head coaches, im more worried about Andy Reid out coaching Jason and co.

For the coaches, that's a given on what they must do.

It's insulting to the offensive line, if anyone.

McFadden walked in off the street and was the #4 rusher in the NFL behind (mostly) this line. And he did it with Dez missing time and Romo mostly replaced by hot garbage. So there was not any kind of threat of a passing game to distract from the rushing attack.

If our line does their job, basically anyone can run behind them. Especially with a legit QB to keep defenses somewhat honest.

As long as we don't use this as an excuse to go away from the run, the running game will be plenty good. If they use it as an excuse to get more and more pass-happy, obviously the running game will look bad and the defense will be left hung out to dry (in terms of time of possession, and keeping our defense on the sideline as much as possible).

Our opponents should really "stack" the box now. It's one thing to stack the box with Zeke in the backfield. He pretty much always got positive yardage regardless. It's another thing to have 8/9 defenders around the LOS with our backup running backs.

The onus will be on Dak and his ability to make them back off.

There's a reason why Morris had assumed the backup role.

Dallas moved further to a zone scheme this year.
They still mix it up some, but if you watch closely, you'll see they're zone blocking much more.
That is Morris' strength.

They say Morris' technique is more similar to Zeke as far as how he handles his blocking.
They wanted the line (with some new faces) to feel as comfortable as possible when there's a transition between Zeke and the next guy--whether during a game or if there was a suspension.

That's not to say that if McFadden got a hot hand they wouldn't stay with him, but the default is to Morris.

I think they're less likely to stack it, but we'll see.
