Needed to start the running game early and often . It was hard running in the first half, Then in the 3rd they finally got it going and stopped it. Never going to win when you stop the run. The defense is just going to go in attack Dak mode which is what happened.

For Morris to be truly effective the OL needs to play at a higher lever. Elliott could compensate, to some degree, for an average line, Morris can not. The running game always hinges on the OL.

It wasn't all the OLs fault yesterday we should have run outside like we did in the third quarter and worn that defense down.
As a young defensive tackle what I hated most was teams who ran outside. First you got to take on the guy across from you then you see the running back heading towards the sidelines you got to turn around take an angle and start running your *** off, well after a few of those plays you definitely don't have the spirit to rush the quarterback like you did before. Why we went away from what was working in the third quarter I'll never know maybe it was Linehan but even then why didn't red say hey why are we throwing the ball instead of running? I'll never understand the staff or hierarchy of the staff.

The staff did what I was afraid they'd do, When they had trouble running at the beginning of the game they abandoned the run. Felt so sorry for Dak getting killed back there.

I have no issues with Morris. He's a guy that needs a heavy workload. I have no doubt he'd have run for 120+ yards with 25 carries yesterday but the game didn't play out that way. 11 carries. It's just not enough.

We have one formula to win a game and it's not our QB leading the way. Sadly. But you guys like him and want this to be our future. While the Eagles have Wentz and the Giants look to be getting into position to add an elite blue chip QB prospect in the draft.

Some were so sold on replacing the previous guy they were desperate to embrace anyone that showed a hint of ability. Dak is young and has a lot to learn but I don't see him ever being an elite passer.

At some point things are going to go to hell. The run game is going to disappear or the defense is going to be mediocre and the QB has to pick up his game and carry the team.

It would've been hard for anyone to do that yesterday with the line play...I get that. But they weren't even competitive. They were drubbed by an average football team.

The blame mostly falls in Garrett's lap but I'm not so sure the QB position shouldn't be looked at more closely especially if the Cowboys can't do better than yesterday during the six weeks Zeke is out.

LOL

The defense has been mediocre at best for like 10 seasons now.

Again, if you want to doubt Dak. That’s fine. He is young and isn’t perfect.

But anybody who blames yesterdays game on the QB doesn’t know football.

The OL and coaches gave Dak no chance yesterday. None.

The Dolphins scored more points against the Falcons, with their tire fire O-line and Cutler.
That hit me yesterday.
Not blaming Dak for this loss, but sad when a team led by Gase/Cutler makes half time adjustments and scores more points than us.

That is where they lost me. We ran all the way the field only to suddenly stop and start passing. The drive stalled, no points. Game was over immediately if it wasn't already. Made no sense to suddenly stop what was working. I really hate it when the Cowboys do that.

I know I've said it a million times on here, but after success they immediately went back to the thing that kept getting them in a hole... leaving Chaz Green one on one with basically anyone.

Dak got sacked for a big loss and it was over from there because if the OL can't pass protect on 1st and 10, they surely weren't going to on 2nd and almost 20.

Hey Alfred......Still feel insulted?

He played fine.

Zeke makes no difference in that game without coaching adjustments to the Left Tackle situation and horrible playcalling.

Morris almost had 5 yards a carry yesterday.
