Well, as the season moves along. Romo has less and less help.

He will be forced to try and do it all.
This will lead into mistakes..
This will lead into sacks.
This will lead to intentional grounding.
This will lead to him getting hit late and no call.

Then... What he is going to be known for when he retires.

This will lead into interceptions

What? I think its a bit unfair to blame the REST of this team for why this team has been struggling these past couple of games. Romo is a big part of that as well. And I think he'd tell you the same. Romo has not been flawless. He's missed some throws that could've ended up in TD's.

Receivers have been replaced, kickers, all the offensive linemen, running backs, entire defense, coaches except for Garrett, yet Romo's still here. He couldn't get it done with the previous regime, blame them and send them packing, now he has a new cast and we'll see what he does. Those are the facts, let the excuses continue.

Not obsoleting Romo from blame.
What I am saying is we will see the worst from Romo when the rest of the team shuts down or gets shut down by opponent.

The only chance Romo has is for o-line to be a force and let the running game lead us.
If they shut down our running game and start beating up oline then Romo will sling us right out of playoff contention, if we make playoffs, he will sling us out of playoffs.

He went to the plays offs in 2006, 2007, and won a playoff game in 2009. I say he did much better with previous regime.

I'm willing to bet if Parcells would have hung around, he would have done much better. And even with Wade, if they didn't have the coach in training as OC, they would have done better. As much as Wade was an average HC, he was a very good DC.
There's reason Wade wanted Dan Reeves hired as the offensive consultant. He knew JG didn't know what he was doing and needed a tutor.

Tony could solve many problems if he could throw deep without having the ball reach the outer atmosphere. Unfortunately for us, teams have figured this out and there's nothing we can do about it.

We are a paper dragon 8-4. We have only beat one team above .500 this year and no teams above .500 last year. Romo looked like a rookie out there on Thanksgiving. There is no way we have a chance when our QB can't even throw the ball down field. We know our defense sucks part of it is due to this ridiculous zone scheme we run.

But our offense has NO excuses. Awesome Oline and running game, elite WR, solid TE, plenty of targets, and supposedly a franchise QB. Only problem is he folds in big games for the most part. You never know what you're gonna get with Tony... But against teams over .500, it probably won't be good.

You're not making much sense. Teams will sell out to shut down our running game and some will succeed. When that happens, Romo has to deliver with his arm, especially against one on one coverage. That is what he is paid to do. Anyone can just hand off a football left and right, but not any QB can make the throws that are needed to win. Romo is supposed to be one of the great QB's out there and he is certainly paid that way which has led to holes in other places of the team because of lack of money. He HAS to do his part. He did not do his part in the Thanksgiving game. He was wildy inaccurate and mentally off too.

Romo is 8-3 and having a MVP caliber season.

He had a bad game on Tgiving so did the entire team.

He actually picked a good time because even if he balled he would have lost with one of those 140 qb ratings which only happens to him in NFL history.

He had bad games against the 49ers, skins, and egals, and he would have had a total meltdown against the cards. MVP caliber season, please. Draft a QB, and we can at least have hope. Do any of you think Romo would fare well if we actually made the play-offs and had to face 4 strong defenses to win the Super Bowl?
Come on folks, Tony was a great asset to the team, sadly our owner / GM / coach, didn't give him the cast when he was still able to get it done.

Perhaps I am misinterpreting your opinion but I will give it a shot.

You see the winning potential of this team this season. You also see that Romo is trying to play error-free football while protecting himself from further injury to his back. So he depending on his offensive line providing excellent protection. He's depending on his running game to pound the defense and sustain drives. He's depending on his backs and receivers to not fumble away possessions or drop passes that should not be dropped. He's depending on his defense to create more three and out possessions for the other team. He's depending on field goals not being blocked and better kick returns. He's depending on coaching that can figure out what the other team is doing much earlier in games rather than later and counter those advantages.

You see that Romo can help this team win every game this season but that he has peaked. You see he's depending on the rest of the team striving to play every game ahead more like the Seahawks and Saints games and less like the first Washington and last Thursday's Eagles games. If it's the latter, Romo will start to press more.

You foresee the possibility of Result = Good if the rest of the team elevates it's effort and execution. If so, I agree. If not, I am not seeing what you are seeing and don't know where you're coming from. :p

we're 8/4 I always hear that slogan until it doesn't work for people

again i am surprised or rather was surprised we came outa the gate
so well. Many of us thought we were playing above our talent level.
I'd be surprised if we don't win ten games.
If we aren't playing more consistently next year then I'll be complaining.
I do think Red will have us in the money games.
Romo has his faults and still his a fine QB

Exactly.. We paid Ferrari prices for a Toyota Camry.. Teams smell blood in the water and will continue to sell out to stop the run and dare Romo to beat them in the air. He may have some success against sub .500 teams (Like the Jags Woohoo,) but he will be a non-factor when we play better teams, as always...

I know! In the eight wins we rushed for all our first downs and touchdowns. Then in the four losses Romo was forced to perform. Even the one he didn't start. Probably.

Is Romo the reason we are 8-4 yes, could he play better in certain games, certain plays --yup, but that goes for any QB

This link goes to BTB analysis after the Skins game-------shows how many times the "scheme" gave Romo open recievers in the "hot zone" on short routes....Routes coming off of Stacks and other sets to put people in position to succeed. but also shows missed blocks, poor routs on key possesions (Harris), but also Romo just not seeing guys wide open (Escobar/ Bease) as he reacts to the blitz
.....would be nice to see a similar breakdown after the Iggles game from 22 vid......
