wow our QB is behind only Rodgers and Peyton for qb rating this season and people are calling for his head...... there is only 4 qb's in the league with at least 300 attempts and less int's...

who do you geniuses suppose we replace him with anyways?

Can one of you genius's answer this? No? Then can you see how little sense you make? No? Ok carry on you're doing just fine.

Tony could solve many problems if he could throw deep without having the ball reach the outer atmosphere. Unfortunately for us, teams have figured this out and there's nothing we can do about it.

His deep ball does appear to lack velocity. Probably due to not being able to fully step into the throw due to back condition. Even his shorter passes the other day looked " aimed" rather than " tight"

Use Rodgers or Brady as a reference re what a pass should look like....

That's because he's padded his stats against 6 sub .500 teams.

How bout a draft pick?

Exactly.. We paid Ferrari prices for a Toyota Camry.. Teams smell blood in the water and will continue to sell out to stop the run and dare Romo to beat them in the air. He may have some success against sub .500 teams (Like the Jags Woohoo,) but he will be a non-factor when we play better teams, as always...

That is what I would do against Dallas. I would stack the box and sell out to stop the run. I would also throw plenty of blitzes in there. Against a top notch QB, that would get you in serious trouble, against Romo, it can help you win the game. That is the problem with Romo, when you desperately need him, you never know what you will get. He will never lead this team anywhere. Never has and never will. It's seriously time to find his replacement.

Well, as the season moves along. Romo has less and less help.

He will be forced to try and do it all.
This will lead into mistakes..
This will lead into sacks.
This will lead to intentional grounding.
This will lead to him getting hit late and no call.

Then... What he is going to be known for when he retires.

This will lead into interceptions

So true.

The Cowboys need to watch some other teams play and learn how to just get your guys the dang ball.

Our coaches need to start helping us instead of just calling a play and hoping we win our 1 on 1's.

Receivers have been replaced, kickers, all the offensive linemen, running backs, entire defense, coaches except for Garrett, yet Romo's still here. He couldn't get it done with the previous regime, blame them and send them packing, now he has a new cast and we'll see what he does. Those are the facts, let the excuses continue.

So it's Romo's fault the defense still sucks even after the changes?

Is anyone going to respond to this. It seems like one of those statements that's hard to dispute and will make someone look stupid if they tried.

Most of the trolls can't see it, they have a huge percentage of the site on ignore leaving themselves basically babbling in the wind. Ol' ufc is basically a virtual Helen Keller at this point, talking to himself as the world keeps turnin'...

We're one game removed from his best game of the season.

Let's chill for a bit.

Kind of mind-boggling isn't it?

I don't think the OPs intention was notto bash Romo.
But some others usually can't help seizing the opportunity.

Crimony! the man was functioning at about 80% for the first part of the year and now he's somewhere around 65% taking pain-killer injections before the games and only practicing part time,,, and the anti-Romo people still want to light him up for not carrying the team. Ridiculous.

Face it, unless this offense is operating at a VERY high level there is no way the Cowboys can beat a team with a good offense. Our defense sucks and is going to give up points, that's just the way it is, and Romo may not fully recover this year (or ever), that's just the way it is.

Dang REDVO, now look what you've done. You stirred up a hornet's nest.

Poor Romo will never have a chance with this fan base.

Tony will have the last laugh in a few years when he's up in his box with Candice and the kids watching the next Quincy running around like Geno Smith and EJ Manuel because Jerry drafts the next Russell Wilson, and they will be throwing ducks to nowhere behind a great offensive line and the whole time some will be muttering--

"As God is my witness, I really thought we'd win when he was gone."

Not obsoleting Romo from blame.
What I am saying is we will see the worst from Romo when the rest of the team shuts down or gets shut down by opponent.

The only chance Romo has is for o-line to be a force and let the running game lead us.
If they shut down our running game and start beating up oline then Romo will sling us right out of playoff contention, if we make playoffs, he will sling us out of playoffs.

Well that's definitely not how it should be for our star quarterback. You make it sound like he's Alex Smith. Things aren't always going to go right for Romo. There are going to be times when the running game is shut down. When Dez is locked down. That's when we need Romo to step up and not join in on the fun and suck. And he's capable of it. Maybe not last week because of the whole short turnaround but from here on out with no short weeks? I expect it from Romo.

Yeah he did because I like Romo. He and Dez are my favorite Cowboys but things like this....it makes it hard for even the Romo fans to side with lol. The guy is having a GREAT year and i'd never make a post about how bad he is especially what he's doing after all the back problems but i'm not gonna excuse him for it either. Not at this point when he's looked as good as he has. Just two weeks ago we were talking about how he's having the best season of his career. One game doesn't change that and one game doesn't mean he's Alex Smith either. Romo hasn't been on point and wasn't this past game.

Uhhh Geno Smith and EJ Manuel are NOTHING like Russell lol. If they had Russ's elusiveness and speed and smarts they'd probably be starting right now. But then at the end of the day in Geno's case, he's starting for the Jets who have nothing but a overrated Percy Harvin.

I'm not inclined to want to blame Romo for our impending December collapse.

He actually has played well in December before. Everything he does gets magnified when it really should be attributed to the team for whatever happens.

This defense has been exposed for who they really are more and more with each passing game. Sure the offense had a bad game last week, but they are fine. It's the defense that will be the reason this team doesn't make the playoffs this year. As for me, I never thought they'd have 8 wins this year. I just don't want to go 8-8 again. Just give me one more win.

The defense this past game made a few key stops in the redzone that should've allowed for us to make it a game. We never did. The offense was worse than the defense IMO. The defense gave up about a touchdown more than they usually do. The offense scored about 3 TD's less than they usually do.
