Cowboys had a potential trade for WR

Pickens. They STILL might end up getting him but not until MAY. I actually think they will. He and Lamb would be unreal.
I can't see it because Pittsburgh didn't address receiver in the draft. Sure, they traded for Metcalf, but they don't have a bona fide No. 2. The only reason they'd trade Pickens is now would be because he's a locker-room problem.

You were expecting production from the combo of Justin Fields and Russell Wilson?
Pickens has been a great deep threat, Russ throws a great deep ball. One of the best to throw it. You’d think they could come up with something. Russ had a decent year as well and Pickens was the unquestioned WR1. Pickens had all sorts of issues with maturity, accountability, stupid penalties, blocking, attitude etc.

1 year left on his deal and wants big money, a big headcase without elite production and we aren’t a WR away from even contention. If they want a 6th for him, sure, but I assume they want a day 2 pick.

Thank God we didn't. If it was Pickens I'm fairly sure we would have quickly regretted it and overpaid for him. Sometimes it's the moves that don't get made that are the best outcome.

I still think something can get done but the Steelers will be asking for next year’s 3rd. Ironically he would be the perfect player to give a 4th round pick for. He has one year left on his contract and would make us clearly better then Washington.
Easy pass. The guy checks out of games.

They just signed Metcalf to a $132M contract. I’m dubious they want to extend another high-priced reciever (Pickens) that happens to be a nut job.

If I’m the Chiefs or Bills I’m all over this and they haven’t grabbed him. Maybe that tells us something, maybe not. I’m sure Pittsburgh would rather send him to the NFC, but a pick is a pick.

If I’m the Chief’s I’m all over this on a one year rental with the chance to resign.

Pickens doesn't effect my personal life with his stupidity so I could careless. What he does with the cowboys? I could still careless.

The cowboys are my team but I am not that emotionally invested in them like some. Id give Pickens a chance especially with a potential running game looming.

Lamb
Pickens
Turpin

Mafa Or Williams
Blue

This team has nothing to lose. Make it happen. If he acts a fool then oh well. Doesn't hurt me one bit. With the 30 plus years of tomfoolery by this organization, who cares.
I know you're one of the people in here that have been paying attention. Zero chance Jerry trades for a 20-25M a year WR. One they have to pay almost right away. They're going to look to supplement Lamb with draft picks or cheaper WRs like they did with Cooper. They drafted Lamb and brought in Cobb. They'll just draft one next year if need be. The Cowboys are never in a hurry. There's never any urgency with them.

I thought they were looking for high character guys? That's not Pickens.
I could be mistaken but wasn't it Shotty that said they were looking for high character guys?

Because he's the same guy that says they will build from the outside in and they took an interior lineman with their highest pick

Glad that everyone is blowing smoke up Jerry’s butt.

Who’s Dak throwing the ball to?

They played it safe. Took no risks.

Been doing that for years and guess what. Abject failure. I want to see some risk. I want to see an owner who wants to win. Not what we have been seeing.

This all started in that Green Bay debacle for me, and he’s done 0 to show me he wants to win since.

Then they go the easiest way possible to hire the HC, don’t even give him what he wants for his “smash mouth football” culture he’s trying to build, and I’m supposed to clap at the draft they just had?

The 2 positions that needed help the most in my opinion are worse than they were last year.
Both "They had an outstanding draft" and " They have serious issues in the front office " can be true

And both are

Hes lazy, trash. Decent when he wants to. Makes Amari look like a workaholic.
Pickins has had no quarterback or offensive scheme since he has been in the NFL. I would take him for a 4th no doubt. We would have 4 players that can go 80 yards if we get him.

Maybe. Will he quit? Will he give his all? I rather have Allen or trade for Jameson.
