Admin Edit:

n the week following the 2010 draft, a bunch of intrepid BTB readers captured screen shots from video taken inside the Cowboys war room and brilliantly constructed an almost complete version of the team's 2010 draft board. Three years later, we were once again able to reconstruct the team's draft board (2013), thanks to a similar set of images taken in the team's war room during day one of the 2013 draft.

And much to our surprise, yet another picture of the Cowboys possible draft board rankings surfaced this year, this time in what was probably an inadvertent Tweet:

[Disclaimer] This is where we cover ourselves. We found this photo on the internet, tweeted out roughly two-and-a-half months after the draft was over. Also, the board is handwritten, if you notice that the board in 2013 that we leaked was decidedly not handwritten. The Cowboys were not working off this messy list as their official rankings during the draft. There must have been a much cleaner list somewhere, this looks like something that was copied over by an employee in the war room. But, when you follow the logic of the rankings, as you'll see below, it makes sense that this could be the Cowboys rankings, re-written by someone after the draft was complete.

In the end, we can not definitively say this was the Cowboys draft board rankings, but if we had to bet money, we think it is. As you read on, you'll see how these rankings actually fit almost perfectly with what the Cowboys did, and tried to do, in the draft. Of course, someone could be hoaxing us! [End Disclaimer]

Elliott was the #1 player on their board and Ramsey was then #2?

That it what appears to be the case if this was accurate.

But I thought I read that Goff was their top rated QB, this has Wentz.

Interesting that they took Prescott over Driskel when he was rated lower and they play the same positions.

A couple interesting QB grades. Lynch 1st round and Jeff Driskel 4th. Based on this looks like they drafted their board.

Going to be a mistake-I like Prescott as a backup, but Driskel has starter qualities if his head is on right.

Not a fan of Driskel, but he seems to have better tools to work with than Prescott.

Interesting that the two reported targets going into Round 2, Ogbah and Dodd, would have been slight reaches based on their board. That probably explains the interest in trading up for Lynch.

It also shows they jumped their board in the 4th round multiple times. The aforementioned QB choice, McGovern as well as passing on Brown and Frazier until later.

Or it could be a fake board or not finalized, as to throw people off as a joke. To give us something to post about. With 10 days left until TC...LOL...
There is no one in the photo, so who and when was this taken. And who let it out. Spalding ?....:muttley:....and why now?

The Ronald Blair one is also interesting since they had him almost a full round ahead of Tapper. Apparently they also had Spence off the board unless he is one of the illegible names.

I'll say it.

Forget what you personally think of Ramsey and how you think DBs drafted high bust.

If Ramsey was truly the #2 rated prospect on our board and given the need we have for playmakers on defense, we should have taken Ramsey over Elliott. I get Elliott if you had him the clear #1 and then Ramsey was say 10th on your board, or even 5th. But if you had Ramsey that high which appears to be there with Elliott, when you factor in need, I think they should have gone with Ramsey.

I wonder if this was a scouts board, or maybe a coaches' one. It clearly wasn't up to date for draft day and was hand written versus the much clearer 2013 version. Interesting info here..

So you advocate jumping your board with the first round pick and drafting for "need"? Okay then.

If it was one or the other, I would guess it is a coach's one. The rating they had on Collins jibes with the love that Marinelli has professed since he was drafted.
