ok--then what do we do with the Colts? I like the way you are thinking!

A win going in against the Colts would be much better than 4-5. Thats a mountain that would be hard to climb.
Anyone have good hiking boots ?

Am I the only one that thinks Arizona is gonna beat us by 2+ TDs?

Anyone that thinks the Cards are gonna be a walk in the park really hasn't payed much attention to the NFL this year.

i have the same feeling as well

The Cards have lost a few close games, but really, they've been pretty terrible. They are a one-dimensional offense that isn't very good at their best dimension.

They recently got crushed by the Raiders, who sport one of the worst offenses in the league. The Cards were +3 (!) in turnovers and still lost by 2 TD's, allowing the Raiders to pile up 395 yards.

They followed that with a sputtering 218 yards (132 net passing) of total offense against Green Bay, who sport the worst pass defense in the league.

Those games were on the road, and Arizona has been much better at home (1-3 with three heartbreaking losses). Also, Fitzgerald has been out for a few games. For these reasons, I think that the game will be fairly close. But I also expect that Dallas will control the line of scrimmage when the Cards are on offense, and it that will make it very difficult for Leinart, who has had trouble completing passes and converting third downs (16-59) since taking over for Warner.

With the Colts, the key is to harass Manning All day long.
Not an easy task when you have a front four that is GREAT against the run but so-so in getting to the QB.
OK, I am a genius to say you gotta get to Manning. But in that game it is fundamental and vital.
If we dont get to manning we don't stand a chance.

OH, YEAH, COLTS YOU'RE GONNA GIT IT. AMBUSH AWAITING YOU GUYZ!!

Well, yes. Ruluctantly you are right.
Yes, no one should have that feeling of optimism. Or say to your fellow man, "hey, we gonna whup 'em." But I ax you, doesn't that happen every day?
Your neighbor Harold the irrigation contractor, for instance. When he says, "Yeah, I think them Cowboys are gonna do jus fine," do you cast a weary glance and sigh to put him in his place? Should you ax him for statistical proof of that?
Are we so cynical and snide that that type of Cowboy optimism is something to be belittled?

You, in the final analysis, are right. It's kinda silly for a man to have that inkling of a great day on a Sunday in the desert when you could almost hear Facenda describe a final and perfect 85-yard drive? When Landry, his coat collar flapping and his little hat on perfectly like a little monkey's yell at Danny White? Dick Emberg shouting into the mic and Charro doing color commentary.

I say verily unto you, that a vague feeling of a team doing well is salve to a fan's soul. Optimism is what keeps us going man. We gotta believe in T.O. T.R., B.P, J.J. and the REM. All god's children gotta believe.

That all our problems will magically disappear is fools' gold. yes. We do not pounce on "feelings" about a game -- like Ernest Borgnine on a doughnut -- lightly. We only try to keep a semblance of faith and hopes that our Cowboys will excel.

Well, thank you for your thoughts. Negative as they may be.

That was classic.
