FRISCO, Texas – Two days after taking a free-agent visit to Dallas, wide receiver Allen Hurns has agreed to a two-year deal with the Cowboys.

Hurns, 26, was released by the Jaguars on Tuesday after starting 42 games in Jacksonville over the last four seasons, posting 2,669 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns in four seasons. Hurns reportedly drew interest from other teams, including the Jets, who were expected to visit with him this week.

This before he signed, they don't listen to these guys either..lol

Bryan: I think the swap would be player for player but I wouldn’t make that move myself. Hurns is similar in the way he catches the ball and as a route runner, but I just don’t see a huge upgrade there. He’s not quick and he doesn’t separate all that well.

Rob: Correct, Hurns will be in for a free agent visit. has some similarities to Bryant in terms of frame and catch radius. He’s a 6-3 wideout who isn’t generally considered a burner, but he’s a tough player and a red zone threat. Had 10 touchdowns in 2015. Injuries have held him back some the last two years.

This is a good signing that gives the Cowboys leverage to reduce Dez' pay if they are still interested in keeping him. If not, they can try to trade him, or just release him in June.

Hurns is a smart and can play wide or in the slot, and he has enough speed. That's a more useful fit perhaps with Dak.

I guess we won't be taking a WR in the draft day 1?
I wouldn’t say that just yet. I think we replaced Butler and Beasley with our 2 WR free agent pickups. If Ridley is still on the board at 19 then I think we take him and try to move Williams for a 2019 draft pick.

Great signing. Cut Dez and draft a WR and our WR issues are much less. Dez has been a drag mentally and financially on this team for a couple years now. Time to let him go ***** and moan on another team.

It's like if Hurricane Harvey is logic and reason and your argument is the city of Rockport,

Too soon?

Hes replacing Bease. Its actually hilarious to read Broaddus' scouting report. Now I know why he is no longer one. Its the complete opposite of every other scouting report out there lol

Do you have any others for comparison? His wasn't flattering for sure.

I honestly don't know how I feel about this signing yet...if Hurns is to be Twill replacement....then I'm good with it...this signing imo is not a Dez replacement, I preferred Allen Robinson for that.

I agree, Dez stays and work out a deal for Williams unless they are going to let Switzer play more at slot-WR.
Now, you know there is no way Ridley is still available at 19

I think the right move would be to move on from T. Will. Draft Courtland Sutton WR SMU....

1. Bryant
2. Sutton
3. Hurns
4. Beasley
5. Brown
6. Switzer

True. I think it’s more like if we take a WR in the first 2 rounds then I think we move on from Williams. Ridley is not the only WR we have shown interest with a boardering 1st round draft grade or 2nd round grade

Change Thompson for Beasley or Switzer and I'm fine with that
