Alot of things people said we could do were put to rest today

Please inform we where the best defense in the league comes from? You know they were 13th in scoring defense, we were 5th.

The only thing they were number 1 in was passing yards and they were 17th in TDs given up.. statistically we were a better run defense.

They lost their OL coach in Bill Callahan, their OL was injured, they had a new OC in Ken Dorsey who was fired mid/season last year with the Bills…

It's amazing how you toss out excuses for opponents but ignore the injuries and situations the Cowboys have been through, like....

1. We've been the most penalized team for 2 or 3 straight years. But you conveniently leave that out when talking about our offensive production and team failures in the playoffs.

2. Until last season, our entire starving offensive line had not played together for three straight seasons DUE TO INJURIES. But you conveniently leave that part out while holding Dak accountable for everything.

3. We did not have a functioning running game last season.... the same season Dak was yet again a top 10 quarterback, made All-Pro and became an MVP candidate.... again.... without a functioning running game.

So if you don't bring up the injuries WE'VE had causing our starting offensive line to do patchwork for three straight seasons.... I don't want to here those weak *** excuses for other teams.

I guess you have another built in excuse for our ROOKIE left tackle holding his own vs Garrett, one of the best pass rushers in the NFL too, huh.... lemme guess. Garrett was hurt coming into the game.... right?

We beat a playoff team
With the best defense in the league last year that likes to run the ball
We beat them on the road in their house
And we beat them on a grass field

Lol, they were missing key players. Slow down.

We beat them without their two starting tackles and their lead runner Chubbs. But other than that I agree with you.

There red zone offense was horrible. Last season . I think the league still uses correct me if I’m wrong , points allowed, to judge best defense. I don’t know why so many people had us losing to them. They’re not a good team overall.

Dorsey is terrible but Stefanski calls the plays.

I get it it wasn't a playoff game and i share the need for that to be the needle...but that was an impressive road win in week 1..if you cant admit that then your just too far gone...

Did you have a losing or winning this game. I can’t believe how many people thought we were going to get blown out.
Said they would win all along. DeShawn Watson is garbage and no Nick Chubb. That was before the tackles got hurt.

Dallas wins these kinds of games. It's Baltimore and Detroit that present the usual problems for our QB and defense.

Our defense is more sound now for sure, but that wasn't really a big test for it.

it is exactly what they were doing. The EXACT same thing that happened in the first 3 or 4 games last season when our offense stunk. It stunk because the defense was stomping people.
Correct. This was a repeat of the Jets and Giants games last year.

When the game was still competitive in the first half, Dak made throws and there was more creativity. They took the air out of the ball and went super conservative in the second half when they knew the only way for the other team to catch up was turnovers.

Defensive ranking is done by scoring. Miles Garrett also ended the season with only 1 sack and 7 QB hits in the last 6 games played. if Micah Parsons disappears, what about Miles?

Your narrative is in the realm of muyth. Imagine using the ENTIRE offensive line not playing together FOR THREE STRAIGHT SEASONS as some type of argument. Do you know how rare that is?

I'm a Dak guy but other than that second drive, he didn't have a great day. Maybe that was the plan after they assessed risk.

Defense...Wow.
He started slow last season as well. Likely all part of McCarthy’s plan

It was a good win. Im not going to crown them or pick it apart.

I’m kinda digging that D that I saw on the field. If that continues we have a chance to make some noise.

He started slow, because the Texas West Coast as a joke. They got annihilated by the 49ers and proceeded to change the play-calling during the bye. They were almost dead last, if not deas last in pre-snap motion, and after the bye basically jumped to at least mid-way and had Lamb in pre-snap motion all the time. Their OL also played together and had one of the healthiest offensive lines in the league.

But then they sucked it up against good defenses.
