I would honestly prefer to watch the game in the comfort of my own home then go to AT&T stadium. I think the novelty of watching the game at the game really took hold before televisions and the only way to participate was to listen to it on the radio. Then there was the black and white TV, and of course, being at the game still trumped any other experience.

But now, I have a 73" HD television that I can watch the game on or I can opt to either spend over $100 to park and eat at the game (that's after the price of admission, mind you) or spend around $50 and walk 2 miles to get to my seat. At home, I can grill up better food than what even the stadium has to offer, I can pause the game for restroom/other breaks, and all of this from the comfort of my couch. Name a seat in AT&T stadium more comfortable then my couch? Jerry Jones seat is less comfortable then my couch.

Am I the only one who thinks the going to the game experience as become overpriced and overrated?

I've only been to two NFL games because they are expensive. Unfortunately they were both Raiders games. I've been to AT&T for HS football championships a couple years ago, and would like to see a Cowboys game. I get where your going though with the comforts of home. The part you forgot is no lines to the restroom.

lol, I guess that's why we see a river of the other teams colors when I watch us on TV. If I lived anywhere near Dallas, I'd be there....

For those of us who get to go to one game a year (if that), the stadium is an experience that is well worth it. You get to watch all sorts of things that TV does not show, plus getting to high-five random strangers just because you're wearing the same jersey is fun. Granted, watching at home lets me concentrate on the game more, but you also get swayed with what the announcers say. You get to form your own opinions watching the game live.
I don't particularly like the long walks for parking, or the $10 sodas, but every true cowboys fan must attempt the haj at least once.

I've only been to one NFL game. Oilers at Eagles in the early nineties. It was the weekend Eric Williams was in the car accident. The entire experience was interesting and I'm glad I was able to partake in it but from strictly a game watching perspective I much prefer the couch and the flat screen.

Well I'll take Jerry Jones seat over my couch for sure. I do want to get to Jerry World but understand the staying home thing. I also have a 70" and it sure does beat the 27" of decades ago. TV prices are so sick these days, pretty much use them up and then trash them. Next tv will have to be in the 90" range, still quite pricey.

i would love to be able to get a suite and not even feel the pinch of that cost.

but in the meantime, yeah, "couchgating" is easily superior.

Depends on who they are playing, if it's a do-or-die game/playoff game/Super Bow.

If we have already clinched a playoff spot or we know we won't be making the playoffs, it's the TV for me. I have never been to a playoff game or Super Bowl that the Cowboys have been in, but I can only imagine watching it in person beats sitting on the couch eating Doritos.

And seeing as how fans show up, some with hardly any clothes, during below 0 temps; I'm going to guess comfort really isn't a worry for most fans.

I used to say that all the time and then I went to a few games and wished I stayed home for all the money poured into the experience. It simply wasn't worth it.

I disagree. Nothing beats being at the game live, with thousands of Cowboys fans. You can see the plays develop much better. My friend works for the Cowboys, so I don't have to pay for parking. Plus, the broadcasters are annoying, especially Joe Buck. I go to all the home games, and one away game every year. I'd go to all 16 if I could afford it.

Without Question it is more comfortable to watch at home. But there is nothing like the experience of a live game. The tailgating, the fans, the stadium, etc.. its an experience, not just a game. I don't go to many games due to cost, which is very stupid expensive. So I enjoy watching the game at home with my, all of sudden inadequate 65in TV.

I did that..Still wasn't worth it. The thing we have to keep in mind is that everyone here values the dollar a little differently. I have two kids and a wife who is a stay at home mom, so despite being a "True Fan" I still pick the at home experience.

I suppose that's an experience we would all like...but the only way I would do it is if I knew someone with a hookup that could mitigate the price to a certain degree. No way I'm paying straight up to see that.

I can see the money issue. It really does suck having to pay all that money for stuff. What you pay for in just a beer, dog and water, you'd probably be able to have one heck of smoked pork meal at home. When I go to HS games, I miss the replays. I imagine at the Jerrydome, there is not a replay issue. :)

You are never alone when you walk with god and me.

also, taking into confederation the parking, ticket prices, surly parking attendents, obnoxious fans, prices for beer, the stress of getting there, the stress of leaving the stadium, the time involved. . . . HAIL, THE BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE IS AT YOUR HOUSE. AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE A HOUSE A BAR WILL DO.

That's something I forgot to mention. Dependent on where you are sitting in Jerry world, there is a good chance you will spend the majority of the time watching the TV in the stadium any way.

I have yet to go to AT&T Stadium (East Coaster) but I've been to M&T Bank & Fed Ex multiple times for Cowboy games.

I love deep couch sitting with a 12-pack watching my 'Boys just as much as anyone but being live at those games.. .there's nothing like it. Especially the wins.
