Fans should enjoy their team in whatever way is most comfortable for them personally. Me? I have the big screen at home. I love watching Dallas from my sofa. I try catching the team at least once a year in Arlington or every four years (or less) in New Orleans. I love watching the team in person.
I had a problem with Jerry Jones and ticket prices until I got to thinking who was selling me tickets. Just glanced at Ticketmaster. There are (Patriots game) section 438 seats with face values of $35 bucks (Jerry's price) each with asking prices of $250 each. I have tickets for the Seattle game, section 249, that cost me $300 each but were printed with $100 values. Jerry's prices on food, drinks and merchandise are high but no one is forced to take on those expenses. The game is the important thing but you must have a ticket to get IN the stadium to see it.
I love this team but not enough to buy season tickets. Sue me. I do think single game tickets at face value are affordable for a lot of fans. I would purchase several single game tickets and attend more games each year but I don't think I and a lot of fans have access to first-run tickets. Scalping, legal or not, are keeping a lot of fans from seeing their favorite teams. It's not right in my opinion.
