I prefer more of a lighter type beer, pale ales and lagers. Peroni, Modelo, Becks and dare I say a boring Coors light! Wouldn't say I'm a connoisseur by any stretch!! lol How bout you?

I know the question wasn't for me, but it's my thread and I can do what I want so - Corona Light w/lime is the way to go. I said this on another thread. Fire up the grill and throw on some tablitas. If you don't know what tablitas are write this down and go to your nearest mexican meat market and ask for at least 3 lbs of the premarinated stuff. 5 minutes on the grill and you will be eating the best meat you have ever had in your life...probably any way.

Fans should enjoy their team in whatever way is most comfortable for them personally. Me? I have the big screen at home. I love watching Dallas from my sofa. I try catching the team at least once a year in Arlington or every four years (or less) in New Orleans. I love watching the team in person.

I had a problem with Jerry Jones and ticket prices until I got to thinking who was selling me tickets. Just glanced at Ticketmaster. There are (Patriots game) section 438 seats with face values of $35 bucks (Jerry's price) each with asking prices of $250 each. I have tickets for the Seattle game, section 249, that cost me $300 each but were printed with $100 values. Jerry's prices on food, drinks and merchandise are high but no one is forced to take on those expenses. The game is the important thing but you must have a ticket to get IN the stadium to see it.

I love this team but not enough to buy season tickets. Sue me. I do think single game tickets at face value are affordable for a lot of fans. I would purchase several single game tickets and attend more games each year but I don't think I and a lot of fans have access to first-run tickets. Scalping, legal or not, are keeping a lot of fans from seeing their favorite teams. It's not right in my opinion.

Here's what I do to break down value. I think of all the things I could buy that are tangible for the same price. In other words something solid that will last like a TV for instance. Then I decide which would I prefer to have. A sporting event has yet to win that check & balance.

being up here in the northeast, never heard of or came across them. Googled and now I'm intrigued! We're big on grilling, love Mexican/Tex Mex and always looking to introduce something new. How do you prefer to serve them....straight up, in tacos or a topping on nachos?

I can do Coors. Used to be Miller Lite. Yuck. I prefer Shiner Bock, a Texas brew from Shiner, TX.

I have thought about nachos and tacos, but have yet to get that far with them. Honestly, I can't get them from my grill to the kitchen without eating at least two strips of them. It's ribeye meat, only cut 1/3 inch thick. The floating bones at the top are ribs. The meat is tender and delicious. And if you get the premarinated version that you find at mexican meat markets here in Texas, it's being sitting in a marinade for awhile meaning the flavor is amazing.

I think that makes good sense. Some people probably share the exact same fiscal philosophy. Others may have variations of it. Take care of what's important. That's smart. There is no right or wrong unless love for your favorite team is driving you and/or your family to the poor house. That person would then need a Jethro Gibbs wack upside the head because that's just nuts. And stupid.

Also, if you can't find a mexican meat market or meat market that carries them, everywhere else they are called Flanken Ribs. FYI.

No, you are not alone. I still want to attend one game at AT&T in my life time to get the experience, though. Other than that, I like being able to 100% on the game instead of the surroundings of a stadium.

I'm on it and thanks for the recommendation - maybe give them a whirl Sunday week 3! Will let you know how it works out and come to think of it, would be a fun ongoing, weekly thread where folks share their eats, pics of the finished product and if some are interested, recipes.

I'm down. Only, when I can it will be tablitas every week. It might sound crazy to you now, but if I had to choose between fajitas and all the fixins, prime rib, New York Strip, Ribeyes, or tablitas - I'll the choose the latter every time. Not even kidding.

But if all else fails, pm me. I really would like to know how it turns out for you.

For me, that's a very close second. If you with a bunch friends and there's a happy hour, you can get alot of the live stadium feel that you miss at home in a sports bar.

Yeah. I'd rather do it at home but I like the bar full of Cowboy fans however, there are some times when people such as the "I like to talk all the time" type of folks that sit or stand by me talk to me and I'm not trying to hear your mouth at all unless it's a commercial break.
