Am I the only one who can’t stomach another Eagles SB win?

It will be tough, but there's nothing us fans can do. The team has a chance and failed. Plus, the rivalries at this point are just for us fans. The players don't seem to care about them as much.
Man, you hit the nail on the head. I go back a thousand years HATING the Iggles - and everyone else in the NFCE. But, the other day, I came to the realization that post free agency, the players absolutely don't care. It makes no difference whatsoever. In truth, there are no more rivalries or blood feuds like the good old days. The League is for iPhone carrying "fanboys" who keep a constant watch on the fantasy teams. The NFL has done it to itself - but then again, they don't care either. And, what is REALLY hilarious, is the way college ball has gone in the tank, having become a very poorly played professional game.

I guess since I live in Philly it would be hard to deal with the eagles fever but I can see if you are a Dallas fan in Texas it wouldnt be as bad.
I dont want this particular phil team to win, so all I can do is root for the chiefs!
Mahomes better watch out as phil is using bounty bowl tactics and knock out opposing qb's , 2 in the sf game!

Philly is the more physical team. Mahomes obviously way way better than Hurts and the KC offense is better imo. I could see Philly winning this one np.

I root for the NFC and in this case, the NFCE. The eagles crushed the 9ers. They really beat the #rap out of them. Hurts had about his worst game and they still put up 31. His shoulder should be feeling better for the SB. Instead of hating the eagles, we should be impressed with what they did. After a total collapse and rebuild, they are going back to the SB in just 2 seasons. We are on season 27. Let that sink in. This is embarassing, y'all sound like a bunch of crybabies, "if we can't win anything then I hate you for being better". We will never do anything again while the Jones boys are at the helm. JJ was the only reason we were great in the past. Those days are long gone. So don't hate on the eagles, it makes you sound childish and petty. Instead admire their accomplishments and push for the Jones gang to high tail it out of town.

Exactly, and that's why the hostilities long ago don't seem to exist as much. At least among the players, and it makes one wonder why the fans care when the players don't care.

Maybe Shanny should have tried something different…like not have a backup tight end blocking Reddick.

The ONLY thing that saved me during the first one was I was starting a one week vacation in the Dominican Republic and we watched the game on the big screen at the resort and I drowned my sorrows in bottomless rum punch and the fact I had 6 days of tropical vacation in front of me. No listening to talking heads gargle on Iggles nuts. Once the game was over they don't give a hoot in the DR. Baseball and soccer rules the roost there. Now that I'm stateside for this one I've turned into the biggest KC fan ever. I don't think I can stomach an Iggles win. I LOATHE that org and their fans.

The Iggles really got lucky and had the Red Sea just part for them this year didn't they? Who knew that the Rams were going to completely fall apart and not only not defend their crown in the Super Bowl again, but not even make the playoffs? Rodger's team not being a playoff team was surprising too. Brady's team limped in, but his had no business even being in the playoffs and it showed. Cardinals and K- Murray fell apart.
Iggles got a first round bye. A 2nd round matchup with the Giants, a team nobody expected to be anywhere near the playoffs this year, and then in the NFC Championship game the Niners on their 3rd string QB who got hurt and couldn't throw the ball. The NFC was wide open this year and not the tough conference to navigate in the playoffs that it usually is.
I can't help but think bout the JAX and GB games that the Cowboys had won but couldn't close the deal in. They win those 2 games, they would have been the 1 seed and would have had that cushy 2nd round Giants matchup and then face probably the Iggles at home in the 3rd round. That would have been very interesting- I liked how they matched up against the Iggles better than with the Niners. I wanted to play them a 3rd time this year. We rolled them once and if not for Rush's 3 picks, actually had a chance to beat them with a backup QB. They are beatable, just had the easiest ride through the NFC I think Ive ever seen a team have. Could have been the Cowboys, oh well.
We rolled them with their b/u QB, they rolled us with our b/u QB. It's a shame we haven't played each other full strength since the first game of last year. (They played only backups in our 2nd matchup last year)

But, i must say, this "only this or that break" kept us from success is kind of a loser mentality.

We LOST. We weren't good enough. We didn't get the 1 seed because too many teams punked us. We didn't get the number 1 seed because our QB is a turnover machine, our owner and coaches suck, and because we weren't good enough and we didn't deserve it. Period.

The Eagles didn't get to face Josh Johnson because they "got lucky"...they got to face him because they beat the ever living hail out of Purdy. They beat the hail out of QBs all year...15 more sacks than the 2nd closest team. WE played Purdy the week before...and he barely had to wash his jersey. The Eagles played him a week later, and now Purdy has to have surgery. Who do you think he'd be more scared to play against? Then they knocked Johnson out of the game! The Eagles made their own luck. They DESTROYED the team 31 to 7 that beat us 1 week before. The Eagles had the defense that were the bullies...not the 9ers. They were the intimidators. WE let the 49ers walk over and disrespect us during warmups.

Constantly acting like the only thing keeping us from being successful as these other teams have been in this millennium is a lucky break here and there is Loser Mentality. What, we've just been unlucky for 3 decades? WE. ARENT. GOOD ENOUGH.

Until people realize that, and stop whining and making excuses (especially the owner) we'll spend another 30 years saying "we just were unlucky", like freaking Charlie Brown

You have to deal with it anyway. The most hype is the week leading up to the Super Bowl. I live in South Jersey also, but I don't pay much attention to the local news anymore, or sports, and I haven't heard anything. Heck I don't even watch TV anymore just stream old shows. Plenty you can do to mute the Super Bowl hype from eagles.
Me too. No WIP or that Stupid Best Show ever. LOL

I am a Cowboys fan and am envious of the Eagles…well their FO. They have demonstrated their commitment to winning by re-tooling their team, not once but twice, to get to the Super Bowl and with two different coaches and two different QBs. While the Cowboys sign bargain bin FAs and fail to address the same weaknesses year-in and year-out.
The frustrating part is that Dallas has the talent to win, but lacks the coaching, vision, and FO to win again.
