Video: Amari comments on McCarthy

Good to hear but I need Amari to show up in the cold on the road in the playoffs. That's all I care about at this point with him. Study Plaxico in the '07 playoffs. The guy showed up big in Green Bay in negative temperatures.
Which I find amazing because I can’t even move or function in those temps let alone play a game at a high level,

I would be very curious about what Coop meant when he used the term “politics”. I can imagine he was referring to the whole Jones circus but not sure. Good to know he sees Big Mac as putting winning first.
I think the Politics thing is about Gruden who came in playing those games in Oakland. Gruden simply wanted him out because of personal preference: it wsnt about winning or losing, but personality

McCarthy has definitely grown on me this year. A coach’s job is to have your guys ready to play and he has done that
Agreed but also remember a Head Coach's job is a lot more than just playtime on Sunday. Overall team oversight, game planning, conduct and run practice drills, ensures everyone understands the fundamentals of football and establishes a football foundation and/or philosophy for the team. These are just a few basics responsibilities for the position. Coordinators pick the plays but a HC establishes what the game plan is for the team every game. A coordinator's job from there is to pick plays based off of the Head Coaches' philosophy for each game.

and all that wont mean JACK SQUAT if we get bounced in 1st or 2nd round of playoffs. Everything he said is 100% subjective. Only thing that matters is a Super Bowl.... when he wins one in Dallas, then I will love him. Until then, who cares.
:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

lol... yea, because our defense leads the nfl in turnovers. give me a break. How hard is it to win when the defense hands you the ball 4 or 5 times a game and also scores a TD?

You think we win in Washington this year if the defense didnt hand the offense the ball like 23 times? Its not complicated.
Hater alert!!

you seriously think Mike is dealing with the "Fundamentals of football?"

Hater? Nah

Id call myself a "Hypocrisy pointer outer."
Same thing....someone makes a positive posts and some choose to come in and piss all over it....that's a hater, or hypocrisy pointer outer.....same crap.

Of course he is, he may not do it directly, but he holds his staff accountable. He's responsible for everything that happens on the field, every HC is.....anyone that can't see that is not very savvy about the sport.

I would think Garrett. I would not be surprised if Garrett had an inner circle of players and coaches and the team was managed through them.

Wonder if the T.O. tantrum about Romo and Witten, along with Garrett had some validity.

bahahahh..... sure Mr. Savy. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

To me, the comments don't mean much at this point. He hated the Raiders and opted to stay with the Cowboys even though he would have made more money with the WFT. I mean, what's he going to say? The Cowboys have a winning record whereas last year, they didn't. Anyone can offer an answer as to why the Cowboys are winning now versus last year.

that's an odd take. you know he played for bama right? lol. he's an honest guy, he literally just ruffled feathers being honest about the offense and needing to be more involved. he went out of his way to highlight what he likes about the coach. his comments mean a lot imo

Amari cooper was being interviewed by the radio station 105.3. They asked him if this was the best team he’s ever played on and he response was “absolutely, by far actually.”

Broaddus asked him why he felt this way about the team. He mentioned the talented players and depth that we have. My ears perked up when I heard his comments on coaching.

His response: “Coaching for sure. Like with McCarthy one of the things I noticed about him early, everything he does is about winning. He’s not big on the politics, everything he does goes towards winning and that is something I really respect.”

To me this is huge. I don’t care what skip and Shannon, or the media or what some bitter jaded posters on Cowboyszone have to say about McCarthy, hearing a player like Amari give a raving review about the big guy is music to my ears. Examples I can think of are Collins not getting his job back as soon as his suspension was over. Conner Williams getting benched and then getting it back after 4 games of trying out McGovern. Cutting Jaylon smith and his albatross of a contract. McCarthy is looking for winners, not playing the politics game. This team has potential to be special and I love it!

LOL. If fans had the ability to pick the coach, the 3-12 Cowboys would have Kellen Moore as interim coach in the wake of a disastrous Urban Meyer experiment.

I would assume the Garrett regime. See the TO and Dez Bryant statements.
