Guys like Beasley and Cobb were short to intermediate receivers. Cooks is down the field.

Cooks may be best suited as the slot receiver......catch.....move the chains.....and then go down. Don't need him to be a misused deep receiver.

Cowboys needed a WR who could take the top off of a defense and clear out for Lamb. In my view this move does more to free up Lamb. No doubt Cook is a playmaker in his own right having put up 6 1,000 yard season but I think his impact will show up big in Lamb stat line.

I pulled up his 2022 highlights...and he does get downfield nicely. I'm wondering if we can be effective getting him the ball.

I think it's possible.....he's got a good locator....looks like he likes to go after the football. That's gonna help.
