No it was a panic move.

After 2014, when they let Murray walk, they claimed they did their analysis and didn't believe investing many assets in the RB position made sense. That they made the organizational decision to limit the assets spent on the position because of the wear and tear on the position.

Then a year later, after the 2015 they do a 180 and use the 4th pick in the draft on a TB, totally going against what they had said 12 months earlier.

This year, they said they don't need that alpha dog WR. That they can win spreading the ball around and working a WR by committee approach. It wasn't working so they panicked and traded a #1 pick for a WR that had the highest drop rate in the NFL next to the guy they just cut 8 months ago.

Most good passing QBs can hit wide open guys in stride. Have you seen Mason Fine at North Texas? Dude is one of the best passing QBs in the nation, but he's not even close to sniffing the 1st 4 rounds of the NFL draft. Tua is a better QB than any of the previous Bama QBs, I'll give you that.

Wooptie Doo. I have said this for 4 weeks that the Cowboys were going to trade for the WR from Alabama who was coached by Nick Saban who Garrett worked for before Jones gave him the HC Job.

It should not have taken this long. You did not have a no.1 WR, and no. 1 TE before the draft. When Gruden traded Mack you knew he was going to trade Cooper who was coming off a injured down year but was a 2 time pro bowler. Cooper is a special athlete just go look at his short shuttle, 3 cone drill, 40yd time and 34 inch vert. He replaced Julio with no drop off at Bama. But he does have slightly better TO hands (has the dropsies).

This Jerry Jonesboys stuff is crazy. You let go Dez, do not replace him in FA and you trade for Cooper after going 3-4 because you do not have a no.1 WR or No.1 TE.

Go ahead and give Miami a 5th rounder for Devante Parker or sign Terrell Pryor when healthy. Go resign Dez. All four are better than every WR on the Cowboys roster.
