American Idol season 11

When Jessica nails it, she really nails it, though. The problem is that she is 16 and doesn't have the life experiences to connect with a lot of the songs she is singing. When she sang "You Are So Beautiful" Tuesday night, I was blown away. She showed patience and control, and the result was amazing. Sure, she probably thinks its from the "Twilight" movie soundtrack, and is singing about a sparkly emo-vampire, but the result was very, very good.

Josh has been watching the voice.

Hollie was very good.

Phillip was Great.

And Jessica still leaves me so cold I can't wait to hit mute. The whole I'm a grown women, bad arse diva followed by the I'm this sweet giggling girl act makes me want to puke.

hollie definitely impressed me while i was left scratching my head over josh's song choices because those performances by juliet simms & chris mann on the voice are still very fresh in my mind.

I'm done watching the show after last night.

According to the judges, Jessica turned water into wine and Joshua is walking on water.

I don't get the love for these two. Good signers but by far and away not the best ever as they are making this out to be.

I think we are seeing the results of the Pia Tiscono elimination in effect here. There is no way they want who "They" think should be the best voted off so they are pimping them like crazy. The only time Jessica is criticized is when she sings with someone else.

Also, if she gets voted off, the whole running on stage and taking the mic from Jessica embarrassment makes them look even worse.

The best overall artist was released last week and the best one remaining is Hollie who will be gone this week.

Then it will be Phillip then they will have the top two they wanted all along.

Phillip - I thought the first song was too safe of a pick. Probably a good choice for him, though, because he is not as good of a pure singer as the other 3. His second song was awesome. I had not heard it before, but I'm going to find and download it later. His is the only CD I would consider buying. The other singers are very good, but not my preferred music style.

Hollie - I think she took a step back. The Journey song was in too low of a register for her to show off her big voice, and came off a little flat to me... not flat as in out of tune, but flat as in lazy. The second song was not much better. I found my mind wandering to other things. Boring to me. She has the talent to stay in it, but poor song choice this week will hurt her.

Joshua - I am impressed by Joshua, but his music style is not my favorite by far. He sang well, performed well. I am getting a little tired of his scream-thing he does. He is the only remaining R&B singer, so I think he will get all of the votes from that demographic.

Jessica - I don't get what makes people dislike her so much. She is amazingly talented with a big voice & tight control. The second song she did absolutely blew me away. All the contestants at this stage are dressed and prepped by stylists - Randy mentioned this fact a couple of weeks ago - so if you just don't like the way she dresses then that is not her fault.

Prediction - Bottom 3: Hollie, Phillip, Jessica. Hollie goes home.

You can pretty much go ahead and download every Damian Rice album if you like that. The guy is a fantastic songwriter, and I'm not sure why he never got more famous.

It is obvious they want Joshua to win. Jessica is hands down the best singer but will not win it either. Phil should if it wasn't a popularity contest, but I think Hollie pulls it out, she has gotten better every week.
