Americas's team

I saw a lady with a sign that read "Sorry America, the Saints are New Orleans team". Issue resolved ha. I'm going to root for them anyway it'll be good if they win.

Sad tragedy... Call them whatever you want except America's Team.

Bingo. I am pulling for them tonight, but they are not America's team.

I've never cheered for a non-Cowboys team like this in my life before... People all over the country are pulling for the Saints and I think it's safe to say that outside of Georgia, the vast majority are pulling for the Saints. For tonight I don't see why one can't think the Saints are America's team for tonight.

Why do we have to give them our name? This magnificent country and all it's brilliant minds can't find another name?

I'm so sick of this horses***....football and any sporting event means SQUAT, SQUAT to those people that are struggling with the lower rung on Maslow's hierarchy....
puuulease stop with all the politically correct crap about how the Aints represent America or represent anything except themselves...
Katrina was the best thing that happened to that franchise....they actually became relevant and people, esp citizens of that toilet, actually started caring about that hapless team again. It also probably kept the team from getting moved.

Although I did, I was extremely skeptical to even send any of my money and items in aid down there because Lord knows how corrupt the vast majority of authoritative figures are down there....

1) winning
2) 2-0

I could careless for that wuss of a team, and am very ebarasssed every time we lost to the crap hole of a team.

tell me...would ANYONE, including most of Louisianna and NO, watch the Aints if it weren't for the hurricane? They were more irrelevant than the Arizona Cardinals...before the hurricane.
Would they have been given a Monday night game?
The NFL is using them for marketing right now and playing up the hurricane to sell the NFL. Have you heard the commentators go more than 2 minutes without talking about the hurricane that was over a year ago? Hear anyone during the pregame shows talk about anything other than the hurricane?

This is the beauty of America. It is a free country. You are free to turn off your TV, or simply tune into the Lifetime Movie Network instead of football.

Nope they tried to transplant that on them last year and didn't stick becasue there is only ONE Americas team and thats the BOYS....:star:

yeah and they tried it on Buffalo and the Patriots.... didnt work then either....

Tradition is tradition, and you don't mess with it. Much like messing with the Cowboys turkey day games. The NFL tried to rotate Turkey Day games away from Dallas back in the 1970's, and it didn't work. You don't mess with tradition.

Agreed, but I actually tune down the audio on MNF. It is simply unbearable with these announcers.
