The Name is Tory Holt. Remember last year he got into a fight with the headcoach and showed the headcoach total disrespect. This offseason he has also talked about being traded to another team. I think he would be a great fit for this team.

He wants to end his career in Carolina where his brother is playing. Holt is also 32 years old and his not a young guy to take over for Owens.

Speaking about a guy that nobody is talkng about is Saints WR Colston who is looking for a long term contract but the Saints are dragging their feet to do so. Colston will be a Restricted FA at the end of the year!

No way are we doing that again.

Big difference between the Galloway situation and this one. I would be VERY tempted to grab Colston for a first and third, since that's almost guarenteed to be what they tender him at.

He might not be one of the top 5 WRs in the game, but he's a great possession receiver, and would at least add a young playmaker to our team.

At the time, Galloway was a good addition to the squad too.

Paid for that mistake with two first rounders.

No way does Jerry go after Colston with a great projected draft class coming out.

If Torry Holt almost guarantees you a championship then its worth a 1.

IMO he would.

Colston is a top ten WR and would be an awesome fit here! He is worth a first and a third.

I think Holt has a few good years left in him and he's a great replacement for Glenn, but I think he's leaving the Rams any time soon. Scott Linehan is on his last legs in St. Louis and if they get rid of Holt they aren't giving the guy a chance at doing anything in 2008.

Colston. I do like his size and hands, but the Saints will get him his money. He reminds me of a young Keyshawn without the mouth.

The last year or two Holt has shown some wear and tear even though he has been productive. My worry is his knees. If I am not mistaken, he had some surgery to repair his menicus.

I love Holt but I rather have a younger guy like Colston.

He's a FA after the 2009 season, so maybe he can be had after this year, but he is going nowhere right now. He will be 33 next June, so you have to be careful how much you give for a guy that age(in terms of draft picks not to mention salary), even though he's a great WR and could maybe play well into his mid to late 30's. The chances of the Rams getting rid of their best player right now is ZERO, so dream on it till next spring and i'll wake you up then:laugh2:

Resist Satan and resist this Holt scenario.

I heard Holt and Bruce talking about how they would go down to avoid getting hit (when they played for Martz).

I don't care to see players like that wearing the star.

Harrison does the same thing and my buddy the Colts fan hates it, but maybe it kept the 180 lb Harrison alive? Then again, Glenn has big stones when he catches the ball and has never been afraid to take it across the middle and risk a hit while he's been with the Cowboys.

I can name at least 15 better receivers than Colston off the top of my head. And.... in no particular order!

1) Marvin Harrison
2) Reggie Wayne
3) Randy Moss
4) Terrell Owens
5) Larry Fitzgerald
6) Anquan Boldin
7) Roy Williams
8) Chad Johnson
9) Braylon Edwards
10) Plaxico Burress
11) Torry Holt
12) Andre Johnson
13) T.J. Houshmanzadeh
14) Steve Smith
15) Lee Evans

although it may be the smart football decision, Jerry is never going to give up two 1sts ever again--he's just too scared to do so. And I commend him for that, you learn from your mistakes right?

I wouldn't commend him. Teams just don't give up two firsts any more. Haven't for a while.
