An Eagles win today serves Dallas well

Here's hoping the Eagles finish it off today.

Dallas is tired, beaten up, and gasping. 18 days of rest for the key people would do wonders.

Imagine a fully fresh Micah, DLaw, Diggs, Hooker, Kearse, etc on defense! Imagine Zeke and Pollard with plenty of bounce, and the full key receiving corps fresh. Picture the offensive line healed and ready to mash.

On the flip side, it could also benefit Dallas if Philly has to wait 3 full weeks to play a meaningful game with us waiting for them. That is too much down time.

Hoping against hope to win the division and No. 1 seed is fool's gold. That was ruined in Jacksonville.

Let's get ready for Brady starting right now!!!

That first line describes every single NFL team. I'd say a Commanders loss serves them better as they could be eliminated and have nothing to play for next week.

It's pretty fun watching the Saints walk over the Eagles in the early part of the morning games, but I tend to agree, we're better served with them winning this week since there's a high likelihood that Giants will have nothing to play for next week and Jalen Hurts will be back.

Winners win.
Losers look for excuses.

Looks like there's a Lloyd Christmas chance to end up the 1 seed.
So, away we go.

This is my thinking.

Worst case is Saints win today, forcing us to play week 18. We win, but Philly wins. We still end up the 5th seed.

I don’t think the Saints win. But I am sure it’ll be close with the eagles winning late

Do eagles play before us next week?

The Giants definitely need to lose today for a Saints win to matter.

If eagles lose today…..the NFL better have the eagles play the early game next week and cowboys a later game…..then we know by game time if we should just rest our guys or not.

If the Eagles, Giants, and Commies all lost today, next week would be interesting.

Anything short of that would ruin the scenario.

It would be cool if Dallas got flexed to the Sunday night game, but they would likely flex the Eagles and Giants instead.

Yep, but only if the Giants win today. If the Giants lose, then Philly-NY will flex to the night game.

The Giants are killing the Colts.

They will play nobody against Philly next week.

Hopefully Dallas gets flexed so McCarthy knows the situation before kickoff.

yeah, sucks….worst case scenario is that the eagles lose and giants win and we have to play to win when the eagles will likely have an easy win against the giants

I told you that’s not how it works

Coward talk

I also wouldn’t mind seeing the Eagles be forced to rush back an injured Jalen Hurts next week in a must win for them. They lose to the Saints today and that city will be in a meltdown.

and I LOVE to see it.

Cowboys.

You don’t know that. The Giants credit their 2007 confidence to playing the Pats in week 17 and going blow for blow with them. Daboll could very well do the same. The Giants have historically been a team that likes to ride momentum into the postseason.

The Eagles will also be forced to play Jalen Hurts next week who’s nursing a bum throwing shoulder.

That was before 17 game schedules and a soft NFL.

It’s a dilema if PHI loses

if PHI loses, NFL will likely have the DAL & PHI Week18 games start at the same time

Yep.

They'll put either Cincy-Balt or Det-GB in the Sunday night spot.
