The only people that seem to think this is a bad move for Oakland are Cowboys fans. Most national pundits that I have read have called this a good deal for Oakland.

I guess some Cowboys fans think it’s a bad deal largely because of the price we paid versus what Oakland paid.

Brown is good but your only as good as your Quarterback. Cooper has all of Browns tools and he is younger by 6 years. I just don't know if Dak can make him a 100 catch receiver.

Did you see Coopers numbers the 8 games he played in Dallas? Did you fall asleep the 2nd half of the season as Dak and Cooper were nearly the top passing and receiving tandem in the NFL? Did you see where both Cooper and Dak made the pro bowl largely based on the 8 games they played together?

Another silly comment from a Dak hating troll.

Biased fans with an agenda. The deal is a total and complete win for the Raiders. 3rd and 5th? Incredible deal.

Lol. I back Dak. He is not Rothisberger as a passer. Never will be. You need to read my posts. I think Dak is getting 25 plus and I support that.

The first oart if this post my dude makes no sense. I know what you were trying to do but its not needed to prove any point or opinion.

The Raiders got a really good deal. THey got the most productive WRs in the last 6 yrs for a 3rd and a 5th. And basically AB didnt just get 50mil deal, he got the 21mil owed to him from the steelers. The biggest winner is brown, because he;s getting roughly 52mil this yr. With his 21mil from the steelers and the 30+mil guranteed from the raiders.

Brown wanted out because of Ben plain and simple. You can see how the team felt about him with the amount of Pittsburgh players liking his social media post.

Now going into this whole Brown vs Cooper, it shouldnt even be a point. Both are in better situations for their own specific reasons. Cooper is in a place that utilizes him and wants him. Brown who already has the acomplishments is at a place where he got his money and is out of the hell he didnt want to be apart of.

Youre saying the raiders had to give up picks and cap for him...Well duh, you have to pay. But brown will give the team more then what they would've gotten in that 3rd and 5th pick combines plus more. Just like Cooper will give the cowboys more then whatever they wouldve got at 27.

Both trades were good for both teams.

Raiders paid money for Brown just like the cowboys are going to have to pay almost double for probably double the yrs for Cooper.

Raiders made dumb moves. On one hand they trade Cooper and Mack for draft picks then sign an aging 31 year old crybaby WR in Antonio Brown for $50 million and two draft picks. They only dd it because they were embarrassed by what Amari did in Dallas after he left. The Dallas front office has made some really dumb moves in our 25 year hiatus from the show but the Cooper trade was great and the Raiders look like fools, IMO.

Brown isn't the issue. He's a great GREAT PLAYER. The problem is and it will be proven AGAIN this year, Derek Carr. He just isn't a starting caliber guy. Brown will soon see that the Raiders are going nowhere.

I would have paid Mack.
Imo I think the raiders are in “win now” mode this season

I think they’ll get leveon bell and I don’t think they will get Murray I think gruden sticks with care despite what’s being said

I mean You can’t limp into Las Vegas in 2020 at 3-13
I'm still not sure Gruden was on board with either of the Mack or Cooper trades. He sure didn't sound happy about the Mack trade. He said something along the lines of it's hard to play good defense when you lose your best pass rusher right after that trade.

They win in the talent aquisition. Brown is better than Cooper on the field today. Coop isn't too far behind him though.

We win with off the field accountability. No question Cooper is a better fit as a team mate.

We gave up a 1, they gave up a 3rd and 5th. They win for at least 1 year before browns nonesense really hurts his team.

We win for the next 5 years as Cooper is just entering his best years and likely brown begins to diminish.

No regrets trading for coop, it's all positive on this side so Dallas really wins in this deal.

Like I said in another thread we don't have to decide who got the better deal, as the Cooper trade has to be judged independently. But if I had to take one or the other it would be the Cooper trade because AB is old and appears to be a cancer.

Gruden is crapping the bed at every turn to date. He thinks its the 1990's. He seems to be out of touch with todays game, and that's the issue when you been out of coaching for as long as he was. I have serious doubts about him.

Cowboys > Raiders by far. Not even close. AB will quickly find himself in WR hell with the Raiders. You don't know what you had until its gone, AB but you made your bed so you have to sleep in it.

wins and losses, bad trades...see Mack. THEN go look at the cap hit and deal of the Brown trade. The guy is well over 30 years old and you traded away Cooper, a 26 year old stud wr? lol...YET KEPT DEREK CARR? LOL...He cannot get the ball to guys...he stinks. He has regressed badly. You can surround a QB with all the talent in the world, but if he isn't THAT GUY, then it matters not. Did I mention the Raiders oline is absolute hot garbage?

It's a bad trade IMO.

Raiders are a project and AB is a player that should be pushing a contender over the line rather than making a rebuilding team mediocre. It makes no sense to me because it hinders rather than helps the Raiders when they do get in a position to contend. If Raiders were a team that I expected to make the playoffs it'd be a different story. Right now though the Raiders should be building through the draft and storing a war chest that they can spend when they're ready.
