When you have virtually every player regress and backups look worse over the course of one season with a different coach you HAVE to consider the coach at least part of the problem. To think anything else is to be really stupid. Houck WAS a great coach in the 90's. BUT many coaches lose that capability later on in life to get it done. That has to be considered here.

I agree. I don't think you can point one finger. Kosier's loss hurt. Play calling hurt. At the very least a 'new' OL coach hurt some.

No one has mentioned this but QB play hurt as well. You can only hang on to the ball and stay in the pocket but so long. Most DLs are going to get in someone's face at least if the ball doesn't go out on time.

Another thing is discipline. I don't think enough pressure was put on them to execute. Maybe a better word is appropriate attention. And if you're going to go with a bruiser OL they have to be in good shape. Back to the attention thing. Big fat people have problems being in shape. Gotta stay on them at least checking on it frequently. You can't go fast on bad gas.

If he knew how to play call around our weaknesses he would be with all these weapons we have. It's frustrating seeing Romo run for his life all the time or going down because plays take to long to develop. We need more quick outs, slants, screens, dump offs, etc.....:horse:

I agree. Leads to the QB having to hang onto the ball too long. Guys have to get open and some of that is defeating schemes.
