I think we'll be ok with Zimmer. Quinn was too much a players coach for these knuckleheads. We needed someone to hold them accountable.

D Flaw, Micah, Diggs the "stars" and "leaders" of the defense do not strike me as the type of people and players that are going to respond well. Mix in some world class losers like Sam Williams and the whole thing can go sour pretty fast. Accountability that does not come from the players themselves is worthless. None of the guys care about Zimmer of what he thinks. Why in the world would they?

If that's your take no one can coach modern day players.

With a real coach comes repercussions. If guys act a fool I expect them to be on the bench. Say what you want about Zimmer but he had a top 10 defense something like 7 of 10 years in Minny right?

It might blow up, but if I'm him I'm doing it my way ON A ONE YEAR DEAL.

It's really not about what I want or hope. Regardless I expect this year to be one and done if we even make the playoffs.

You cant fault an owner of anything to put positive spin on the company/product he puts out there. We are too rough on him sometimes. What do you expect him to say" "well we had a lousy draft, Im not too confident in this rookie crop and McCarthy better hope he gets better or I may fire him"?

Zims type of defense emphasizes stopping the run and not giving up the big plays.

I doubt Micah will be rushing the passer as much like he did almost every down under Quinn. Sacks and turnovers are likely to go down and it’ll be interesting to see how guys like Micah and Diggs will respond.
