I knew the second I read the title you were going to get a lot of unwarranted flak!
I hate to see any player get hurt, Theisman, Smith, Moore, Romo, Dak, don't care who it is, its a shame to see it happen.

But the game goes on after the injury timeout. And the teams have to move on and the fans should as well. I feel for Dak. Rumor had it he was close to signing for $35 Million a year earlier this week and the only thing holding it up was the franchise tag clause. There was also the rumor he was willing to play out the year and seek $40 Million next. Either way he may have lost out on some of that payday.

Positive note: The team came together to win this one for Dak. Hopefully that carries over to the coming weeks.

one thing that might help us is that we will use the running game more often and we won’t have to force the pass to pad the stats. The running game will help the defense out.

I'm not really interested at who's better. I'm interested in who can lead this team to more victories in the playoffs ... and there's no way we're sniffing the playoffs if we're paying $40 mil to a single player.

I'll be the biggest Andy Dalton fan there is going forward.

But man, sorry, no way I can feel good about this, and that's got nothing to do with what quality level I think Dak plays at, I just hate it for the man and what it could mean for his career and both his future and the franchises.

Yep and it'll show whether we can play with a less than 'elite' QB. As you say with the talent we have out wide even a QB like Dalton can find them. Resources can be put into improving that Defensive line.

You do realize that the $40 million dollars you keep quoted will probably be $60 million in four or five years right? That $40 million is maybe the going rate for starting caliber QBs now. Now if you don’t feel Dak is a good enough starting QB to get that kind of money that’s fine. Take that stance. But to say u don’t want to give that kind of money to any player is ridiculous considering you want to find that mythical elite QB and you have to pay them eventually.

I didn't expect the flak I got simply for celebrating a Dalton led victory. I have been accused of celebrating Dak's injury which I never did; I've been called D bag, had my wife insulted, had my military service insulted, and other crap for what reason? Because I celebrated a Dallas win......strange indeed.
