So yet another example of Jerry being cheap and wont pay for a full staff....The crazy part of all this is Jerry and staff might actually be good enough at finding bargain bin talent to actually win a championship, but he refused to spend money on coaches, players (aside from his guys) and now are starting to hear that the support staff is undermanned.
There was a time that the Cowboys were the best in the league in everything behind the scenes...facilities...training staff...coaching...nutrition...analytics...innovation...etc. somewhere, Money started to mean more than anything else and Jerry decided to go cheap...not even acknowledging that the investment would all of this would pay off 10x fold. If the last cowboys were the highest valued, highest revenue generating team in all of sports, imagine what they would with an extra 2-5 SBs in that time frame. The fans would sink unlimited amount of money into merchandise and tickets. The haters would continue to watch hoping for the downfall. The media would still go crazy over the Cowboys because they know that this franchise will make money.

Look an ACL injury is a crapshoot to come back from on the Cowboys, so this really should be taken seriously. How you don't want take care of your players (assets) better? Now it makes sense, when was the last time we saw a player get swoll in the offseason program. Also, I know for fact some Cowboys players go away from the facility, and pay to get treatment/recovery from somewhere else.

The player also added one of the things that would help Mike McCarthy is extra help in the weight and training room. I asked him to elaborate “More help. I mean like more bodies. Most places got so many hands on deck to cater to guys. Britt (Brown) is awesome and cares a lot but he only has a couple of guys to help. Same with Harold (Nash) he has the respect and love of the locker room but having another person or two to focus solely on recovery managing, etc. so players will feel more taken care of and the staff can focus on building the performance program more.” The player adds it will cost money to add more people but he sees value in that.

This is an interesting take by an anonymous player. Strength, conditioning, and recovery are all critical to preventing injuries, and making sure players heal as quickly as possible. Is this just another way that penny-pinching Jerry and son are hurting the team?

Employing that logic, Dak would be the best player in the NFL.

That said, Dak's gaudy contract proves Jerry isn't necessarily a skinflint. It's just that, insofar as football operations are concerned, he tends to lavish his money on assets that don't produce results.

Hmmm...let's see...a better support staff, or a helipad at the Star?
Well McCarthy doesn't sell jerseys or get much publicity. That's the main reason Dak was signed.

It's not just weight lifting they are talking about in the tweet. In the tweet, the player talks about not having enough staff for injury rehab. Considering how many serious injuries we had this year; this point is very relevant.
..ahh yes, interesting. Wow,. Surprised Dallas organization would have any problems with this

On the postgame yesterday, Sham and Broaddus mentioned a "prisoner swap" (their words) deal where when Mike apparently wanted to fire Leon Lett, Jerry fired Rob Davis in return.

For those who forgot, Davis was hired just to improve locker room culture and relations.

Why any owner would think like that, who knows. Maybe just so the players and the coach know who the boss is?

Either way, the way Jerry runs this team is ridiculous.
Smh, wow. Something is off about Jerry the last few years. He's even more petulant and scorned than usual. MM should run to Chicago if given the chance.

Yes. That's what it is. Players aren't catered to enough around here.

I don’t want to blame the losing on that. . So I agree.

That said. We have had a few players tear their ACL’s over the last few years only to get re-injured and-or never be the same ever again.

Now I don’t know the hard numbers compared to other teams/players with similar injuries. But idk. It just seems pretty bad lately.

Ultimately that falls on the GM/owner (shocking isn’t it?)

To know if the training staff has enough people to handle all their responsibilities or not.

"need more help to cater to players..."

Can you imagine using that excuse for bad kids, except these are grown adults who make real money for what they do. Nah, I am pretty sure this team don't suck because someone ain't holding warm towels for a player in the weight room. come on...

.. well it's weightlifting how much rocket science is involved in that?
He is also the Director of Rehabilitation. Given our injuries this year, and how nearly every one seemed to take longer to heal and get back on the field than we were initially told, maybe there is some truth to it.

That rocket science kept quite a few sidelined for a lot longer than we were initially told they would be. I am guessing by the verbiage in the tweet (or X or whatever) that we have less than other teams do on their staves, bumping it up to what the other teams are utilizing couldn't hurt. Unless you like our guys possibly sidelined longer?
