Anonymous Dallas assistant coach says our WRs don’t win

BOOM!!!!

Been telling y'all the problem isn't Dak.

These receivers SUCK and it shows. This anonymous Cowboys assistant coach is CORRECT.

He also needed to mention the Oline. Horrible performance thus far for a bunch of 1st round picks and talent.

Fix those 2 things, this team will start winning.
Get a new QB and that will be the a move in the right direction, Coach's and JG said all thru camp and all season the WR's were good, Dak said he doesn't need a #1 WR, Face it Dak just plain stinks at the NFL level, Dink and dunk Dak hasn't seen a 3 yard or less route he doesn't like. I bet the coach who says the WR's are at fault is the sad sack QB coach (another JG/JJ brilliant move) . I would like to see Dak benched this week after the 1st half because it will not be pretty. JJ will not allow it and JG doesn't have the stones not to do what Jerry's tells him. The QB sucks big time and most know it.

LOL now the FO is leaking this nonsense to deflect from the real problems on the team.

Guys are getting open, people. They did the same thing to Dez but he’s gone now so they just lump them all together, lol. We are smarter than this guys.

Not what I'm hearing at all.

Yeah, that's why no team seriously wants Dez. lol

You're not exactly the most unbiased source. Didnt you make this comment in August

Dak has seriously improved his throws...from his mechanics, to his pin placement, to his accuracy & velocity, to his reads and quick release, to his standing strong in the pocket, to his looking off the safeties and on a split second turning to throw 30+ yard darts along the sidelines past the coverage and right in the bread basket where only the receiver can catch them throws. Very impressed with our starting QB

Has anybody seen any of this on the field?

That point has been made here in fact some argue that he is better than Troy as sad as that is, just like some believe Jerry really is a football genius.
How did Troy perform his last 4 years?

(waiting...)

When it's Nick Eatman who works for the website then you can take it to the bank.
maybe Jerry who is defending Dak now because he feeling the heat and needs a excuse to why Dak is failing told him to put it out there. It is the Homer line right now.

Accuracy on intermediate and deep throws dropped sharply. Pocket poise has been compromised. Hyper aware of pressure around him and lacks awareness to slide and find temporary shelter to make throw. Concern over pressure too often trumps ability to get through progressions. Must speed up the pace of his reads. Footwork is a mess. Slight stride onto stiff upper leg with little weight shift. Restricted follow through and too often tries to muscle throws with upper body. Throws to target rather than leading or throwing them open on short/intermediate throws. Too respectful of underneath coverage and must be more willing to challenge the defense. Needs to improve anticipation.

And that's the problem. The whole offense sucks.

worst part about it is we have frugal Stephen having more input. They probably still think they need to set aside a boatload of money for Dak's 2nd contract and Zeke, so I expect more low level signings so they can have "cap flexibility". Got to hope we nail day 1 and day 2 draft picks for a long time.

I'm afraid Stephen is going to be worse than Jerry ever was.

Professionals don't think Dak is a franchise QB. He wasn't a midround pick cause he was covered, those pro's didn't think he was worth it. He did over perform year 1 but now ba

Hard to break tackles when a wr has to come to a full stop and wait for the ball. Dak is what makes these balls contested. Bad placement, late throws, DB's have way too much time to react to what Dak is doing. Doesn't matter how good a wr is a QB has to do a better job of getting them the ball or the results are the same. You want yac, hit them in stride, unfortunately he barely able to hit Zeke in the flat consistently.

Either you don’t understand the point being made, or you just want to put 100% blame on Dak. If that’s your agenda then fine. Feel free.

It’s asinine to say the only reason they can’t make some plays is because of Dak. Actually, it’s complete BS to say it’s only because of Dak. Again Dak is part of the problem. But if you watch football, then you’ll see receivers all across the league, still make some
Plays, even given similar circumstances.

That is what separates good receivers from bad receivers. The good ones can make plays even in tough situations or on poorly thrown balls. The bad receivers cant.

That’s what this thread is about, the fact that our receivers fall under the mediocre/bad category and not the good.

Again, not a hard concept to understand.

We are experiencing poor WR and poor QB play. But this thread is about whether the receivers are good enough or not...... they aren’t.

NFL COMPARISON Brett Hundley
BOTTOM LINE Hard to find an NFL comp for Prescott because he's built like Donovan McNabb, but lacks McNabb's ability and polish. Prescott has NFL size, mobility and enough arm, but the tape shows a player who must improve his mechanics, poise and quickness through his progressions if he is to become a full-time starter in the NFL. There are absolutely draftable traits and upside, but he will need extended work to smooth out his flaws. Until then, a team would be wise to utilize him on short-yardage packages.

Plenty of Dak sucks threads. The Wr 's need a thread too.
