He's not very famous and this won't get national news, so he'll probably be treated differently by Roger "Double Standard" Goodell.dogunwo;1503098 said:If he is guilty, then he should be suspended for a year.
Maybe the Bengals don't care what their players do in their personal time when they're off duty or "off the clock." My employer doesn't care. Most employers don't.sago1;1503396 said:When so many players from the same team keep get in so much trouble in a year or more, it's hard not to believe their is a lack of direction starting from the very top of the Bengal organization & particularly including the coaching staff. Have the Bengal organization done anything? Or have they just shrugged it off, etc. This team has become a joke and a disgrace and frankly I hope the Commish (since it obvious the Bengals themselves can't/won't do anything) takes very strong action. Frankly, I'm not sure punishing those individual players will be enough but frankly this latest incident (and it's his 2nd run-in with the law) warrants a 1 year suspension. The Commish's actions against Pacman & another Bengal, possible action against Tank Johnson & probably 1-3 other players who might not have been made public apparently hasn't gotten Bengal attention. If the Bengal organization is as inept as they appear to be, sure hope Commish meets with Bengal team for a heart to heart talk & a walk to the woodshed. I don't know if so many Bengal players had problems even before they were drafted or not, but something must be done. Has anyone even heard of any response from NFL front office since this latest Bengal incident.
You know what really ticks me off. If this were the Cowboys, their would be a national outcry by the media, Congress would investigate and there'd be calls for Jones to sell the Cowboys.
You can't be serious. What companies/employers wouldn't cringe when they see their employee in a police blotter with their company's name mentioned?theogt;1503412 said:Maybe the Bengals don't care what their players do in their personal time when they're off duty or "off the clock." No, they wouldn't. Many (probably most) don't.03EBZ06;1503431 said:You can't be serious. What companies/employers wouldn't cringe when they see their employee in a police blotter with their company's name mentioned?
With my company, if I behaved like this Bengal player, I would lose my clearance, lose my position and it would be matter of time before getting a severance check.
Go commit a crime and see just how your employer acts, they will drop you in a heart beat.
A high profile organization like a NFL team does care how their players handle themselves off the field.
How old are you and what type of profession are you in?theogt;1503435 said:No, they wouldn't. Many (probably most) don't.
