Another Craigslist killing

I'm worried about Blue-on-Blue crime folks.

Someone has to get those smurfs to stop killing each other.

Frankly, I'm sot sure I am buying those stats since I haven't seen a link to to verify them, but that's ok. In the end, we need the death penalty. It needs to be issued when there is a guilty verdict of murder and then carried out once the appeals process is done. And that doesn't mean 20 years down the road.

I highly recommend reading the US General Accounting Office publication for that info.

Hey Cajun, never argue with people who go to or have gone to college recently, the brain washing is immense.

Do what i do, wait til they become a victim, than watch their stance change dramatically. ITs great to argue someone shouldnt have the death penalty until they become a victim, than watch them scream for death.

that's extremely macabre of you to suggest that it's a great thing to see a victim. I hope you are never on the other side, getting accused and convicted for something you did not commit.

I don't see why you can't see the prejudices here. If a black person is killed, there is less likely to be pursued for the death penalty than a white person who is killed.

And if there was parity between the number of death penalties in cases involving white victims and the number of death penalties in cases involving black victims, the percentage of black males being executed would probably increase. Consequently, you could still make a racial bias argument.

We could stop this kind of thing if we would just kill the morons who do this. But instead, they will go on trial and IF found guilty will get to suck on the government dime for 10-20 years while they appeal and appeal and appeal.

If the justice was swift, it would cut down on a lot of this idiocy.

Hogwash. Justice isn't swift in reality.

Not all but most would. If people knew we were serious about enforcing our laws and going through with punishment most people wouldn't break the law. Just look at the illegal immigration problem we have in this country.

People are going nuts because Arizona just passed a law that simply upholds a federal law. Why? Because up to this point we haven't been enforcing our own laws. And surely we haven't been imposing the prescribed punishment.

But being a citizen with rights and being an illegal alien is apples and oranges.

The example above just reflects how you'd like it to come out in your mind, using fallacious reasoning to support your conclusion.

But I will say this. If we enforced our own immigration laws, we'd free up a lot of the court system so that it could make less mistakes.

But what we have above is wish in one hand and you know what in the other. Justice doesn't work the way you want it to work. And for that I'm thankful.

I just don't understand the "Preacher from the Black Lagoon" saying something like this. I'm sure it's not hypocritical, but can you tell how it's not. :(

We have laws for a reason. We have punishment for a reason.

Use them.

It's that simple.

Like how? Am I supposed to justify the laws of America with the laws of the Bible?

If that's what you are asking, I can't on this forum.

Suffice to say that there is punishment for wrong doing. The Bible has laid out very specifically the laws of the land should be obeyed.

I know you are trying a gotcha but it won't work.

I'm just trying to understand how you justify the statements you made with your beliefs. I think we might want to move this to PMs though, as this is a borderline voodoo topic. :)
I mean no harm Rob. I've just always wondered how religious people justify this stance. I'm just seeking info.

but the victim calling for a death penalty is not really coming to the situation from a rational perspective.
