Another example of why Kellen Moore was let go

Interestingly, I noticed that not only did the offense run ultra efficient with Rush (displayed by his passing stats), it was the same when Prescott came back. Then, it slowly morphed back into pass happy, not enough running/balance and we're back with Dak trying to Unitas his way to wins. Just like Romo did. Why is that?
Easy answer bro: the Oline started getting injured and sucking at getting the run game going.

Well, you can't blame Moore for that seeing as how Moore was not the OC with Romo so is it more Dak trying to live up to Romo's gunslinger days or is it the front office wanting a pass-happy team?
Read my answer above. ^^^

I'm not blaming anyone, slow down. Those details were interesting to me. You are obsessed with knee-jerk arguing.

... and Kellen wasn't calling plays for Tony. I've heard it said QBs like to throw the ball. Could be as simple as their growth in the system giving them more freedom at the LoS. Could be the playcaller too. Coach not reigning it in is endorsement and all that.

If you want to go with small sample sizes then have at it. If you think chairs will e knocked over to annoint Cooper Rush and Andy Dalton for a season long stint, have at that too. If we gonna do that.....Timmy Smith is the greatest RB in NFL history. (Google)

As for Kellen Moore......believe it or not. Just came off the prior year with red zone efficiency being questioned.
"annoint Cooper Rush and Andy Dalton"

Sigh... no one's anointing them. The point is a defense of Moore as an OC. It puts you in a logical bind. You have to square him being able to succeed with lesser talent with your assertion that he's the problem for Dak.

They are hoping but we know otherwise. The routes were adapted for Prescott to avoid him having to make a lot of anticipatory throws. Could Amari Cooper have run better routes? Sure, but what good are they if the QB can't get him the ball. The offense isn't changing. The only thing changing is the play caller.
Kellen said at his Chargers presser he was going to do with Herbert what he did with Dak. He's not coming in and plopping down the Dallas playbook and saying, "learn these plays." He said he sat down with Dak and they developed an offense together that played to his strengths.

Of course, that's just talk. But it definitely makes me interested in what happens next year. Sucks we have so long to wait.

Them bad route designs had been happening since when Amari Cooper was here...

I'm sure San Diego looked at a lot of film and came away with a different view of those poor routes and signed Moore immediately after he parted ways with the Cowboys. I look for Moore to excel as the new OC with the upgrade he received in the QB that he'll be working with. It's very apparent that Prescot is the major flaw in the Cowboy offense and Moore probably had enough trying to work with a QB that has probably hit his growth ceiling and is going to struggle every time out against the premier teams in the NFL.

I didn't think of that, It would be interesting to see how it varied. Looked a lot like JG, leaving the run. Weird and repetitive/ very similar plays. Real head scratchers.
Hard to tell without the data though.

I just hope they put a harness on Dak and do what's best to win games. And, take the RB roster serious and change their strategy.

Next season Jerry should let random fans call plays. I'll vote for you, if you vote for me. I promise it will not be that trainwreck from both postseason 49er game endings.

Wasn't that an issue with Tony leading up to his more efficient seasons? I seem to recall they actually addressed it and Tony made a decision to stick with run calls more often.

I'd call 10 yard curls every play just to watch this place lose their minds. Lol

2014, when Murray was disgusting out of the backfield. And the defense wasn't as good as the current in my opinion.
2016 too. If Romo didn't get hurt, who knows? I don't, but I feel like he would have done as good being more balanced.

But it's weird how they're alike. I do think Romo had a better arm in general, and a slinger. To the point that it broke your heart at times.

That's hilarious. I'm going for 2 pt conversions, every time and also not punting. I'm trading Anger for all I can and not filling the roster spot.
Maybe I'll throw in a fake punt just to blow minds, because everyone knows there's no punter.
No FGs either. They can't be trusted.

I'd love to see a fake punt with no punter. Lol

With no one even back there. Then, run the clock down, call a timeout because the coaching staff hasn't a clue what to do with them anyway. Then run back out and call the same play.

This place would go nuclear.

We need more high iq players like Amari. Funny how he never got brought up as an insanely cerebral player like Sean Lee did. I even saw average LVE hailed by some as the brains lol. But ima let yall cook
he did. they talked about his chess playing constantly

You got me rolling. No punter, but an extra gunner. Lol
