Another example of why Kellen Moore was let go

Zeke gets his share. But a $40 million QB shouldn't disappear if his running game is struggling. You'd have a point if guys other than the QB were turning it over or dropping passes.
Can't dispute the interceptions, one bit......but I wonder if that is all you see? It's not a mystery.

At this point we should have kept Kellen Moore, instead we promoted one of our own guys, so more of the same. Instead of spending a bit of money to bring in an offensive talented mind from outside the organization to add to our current offense. Jerry goes cheap and just gets someone who is already here.

How many QBs get the benefit of the doubt when their team scores 12 points? You've been calling out guys on the defense more than any criticism you leveled at Dak. They gave up 19 points in a playoff game where the offense had 2 turnovers and went 5-15 on 3rd down. The defense did their part.

I guarantee if it were Mahomes/Burrow/Rodgers putting up 12 points you'd use that kind of performance to prop up Dak in a comparison. You sure as hell wouldn't be blaming their coordinator.
Hey, DAK HAD NO WEAPONS THIS YEAR, ALONG WITH A POOR AND INJURED OLINE WHO FAILED AT GETTING THE RUN GAME GOING AGAINST GOOD FRONT 7S!!!!!!!!!

It's not hard to understand football. Pay better attention and learn before you keep chirping more baloney.

Now you are moving the goalpost. This may or may not apply to you. But there is a collective who utter this, "can't read defenses," after every loss, it seems.

My first thought when I see this, or hear this is:

So, what was the defensive set he was facing when he tossed a pick?
What was the route?
Who was the primary and were they covered.
Did he go through his reads?
How did the defense adjust prior to the snap?
What was the status of the protection up to the moment he threw the ball.

Then I toss in the fact that unless you are sitting in the stands, you do not see all 22 players at the snap of the ball. The replay is shown, and the assumption game begins, because people assume they see something and that he saw it as well.

Example:

A game late in the season Cee Dee was running a seam route. The linebacker came from the opposite side of the formation and traveled with Cee Dee. The safety dropped down to cover the top. Dak threw the ball and the linebacker made a great play knocking it down.

Then the replay, as we are looking from behind the offense. You see Gallup uncover on the left side running up the seam. Gallup was clearly open.

The fans here screamed bloody murder. But consider Cee Dee on a linebacker, and this should have been the throw. You want to take that match-up all day. However, this linebacker, and I cannot remember who it was, ran like a deer and broke up the pass.

The after the fact opinion on this board was Dak misread the defense.

Don't forget a bad OC. Dak truly is one of the greatest QBs of all time. He literally dragged the team to 9 wins and 12 points in the Divisional Round with Kellen sabatoging the whole time. It was truly a Herculean effort and your choice of font has made it clear. All these years... I could never see it before. Thanks, Worm.

Like I said before, you were wrong all those years in the old forums and you're wrong now. Poor Jeremiah.

From the logic above, Cooper Rush has to be the best quarterback in the NFL. No offensive weapons, an often injured offensive line, and no receivers. wow, Cooper is the MVP. Guy had no offensive coordinator and beat some good teams.

But wait a minute, how did Dak see the stop routes were being covered and to let Amari know to run the go route? It couldn't be because Dak can't read a defense. I have been assured that is the case for a ling time now.
There’s no absolutes. We are talking levels here. Even the worst NFL QB’s can read a defense and the best can make misreads, but a franchise QB on 40m per year needs to make less bad reads against zone defense than Dak did in the back half of the year. It’s hard to say if it was just Dak or predictable routes but something had to change and it was far easy for it to be Kellen this off-season.

He outplayed Burrow. The irony is everyone acknowledges Cooper has a weak arm, yet he was 5-1 with Kellen calling his plays. Yeah, it's a team game, but the last QB to play back to back games without a turnover is Cooper Rush. Before him it was Andy Dalton.

This will be Daks 8th year? Time for him to change plays based on what he and his receivers see. Screw the OC and the HC. You’re a Vet Dak, do you want to go out on being obedient loser? You get paid more than them either way lol.
Don't know your point. Every team runs audibles--over-riding the play called...certainly happens w/Dak and Dallas.

Dak is at least a full step above Cooper. Maybe two. Dallas offense became way better when Dak returned mid-season. Is Dak top six? No. Top 12? Perhaps. He's no spare.

Rush outplayed Burrow? Please. Team game, you can't make silly one-off comparisons.

My NFC team is Dallas. My AFC team is the Chargers. So this last week has been I-n-t-e-r-e-s-t-i-n-g.

I'm very confident that Moore is going to be dynamite with the Bolt. I suspect Dallas offense takes a step back. I could totally be wrong. I do agree it was semi-logical for Dallas to try to reformulate, whether for results or ticket sales. Just don't believe highly in Schottenheimer or Big Mike.

We will see who's right, wrong or other.

He outplayed him in that game. Much more efficient.
