How does that compare to Aaron Donald his rookie year?
Donald had 10 sacks as a rookie.

Had Collins not hurt his foot and missed all of camp (and the start of the season), he would have been a lot closer to 10 than he is now.

Still, 5.5 is very, very robust for a rookie DT, injury or not.

Another fantastic draft pick by a front office that has been outstanding for half a decade.

Another good game from the rookie.

He has some things to work on in the running game but he is becoming unblockable in pass rushing situations. He abused the center tonight several time and is showing incredible quickness.

Your thoughts?

I think he is on verge of being top 10 DT. So strong and finally getting outside pressure from Irving.

I think he needs to get stronger. When OG get their hands on him he can struggle to anchor. He doesn't get hooked from behind and taken for rides anymore which is a big plus.

strength is one of his attributes. What your seeing has more to do with technique. We have to remember he didn't have training camp. I expect him to be major force next year.

Crawford is one of the top playmakers on the defense. He has gotten better the more he has played SDE. Moving forward they will be able to move him around.

We desperately need to draft more DL.

I'm sorry? Tyrone Crawford is one of the top playmakers on the D?

Sorry but when I see a guy getting compressed that is not technique; it is core strength. He will take a knee to try and sit down only to still get washed on double teams.

I am not some neophyte that doesn't understand line technique. He needs stronger lower body and core strength.

I don't need to. He's obviously not.

Willfully ignorant, eh? You should change your handle. I'll help you see reality.

That has him tied for third in splash plays.

Define splash play. Anyone who is watching the games knows he's being outplayed by a 3rd round rookie and UDFA off of KC's PS.

Speak for yourself. Sturm for one disagrees with you and I will take his opinion over random fan any day of the week.

Splash plays are sacks, TFL, third down stops, interceptions, forced fumbles, and similar game changing plays. Sturm keeps a tally of them. You just don't do a good job in paying attention.

He's not the best player on this team at either SDE or 3 technique....clearly....and if you adjust to "splash plays" per snap it's a joke.

Like I said he's obviously being outplayed by a rookie 3rd rounder who missed most of camp and UDFA practice squad guy.

If Tyrone Contract is starting for you, expect your pass rush to suck.

Collins has been starting along with Crawford and is 10th in splash plays.

Irving is a force of nature and there are few in the league playing to his level. There is no shame in not matching that.

You can think what you want but it is easy to demonstrate objectively how you are wrong. Anyway nothing more is likely to be added so last word is yours.

McShay had him rated as a top 15 prospect before the start of the 2015 season. After the season, he ranked in the 70's. What happened?
