McShay had him rated as a top 15 prospect before the start of the 2015 season. After the season, he ranked in the 70's. What happened?

They changed form a 1 gap to a 2 gap scheme and Gregory left.

Collins has been starting along with Crawford and is 10th in splash plays.

Irving is a force of nature and there are few in the league playing to his level. There is no shame in not matching that.

You can think what you want but it is easy to demonstrate objectively how you are wrong. Anyway nothing more is likely to be added so last word is yours.

You need 8 quality DL in Marinelli's scheme to rotate. We primarily need WDE. We can use depth throughout.

We still need a dominant edge rusher. Gregory has the potential but cannot be relied upon. DLaw took a step back this year. Irvin wins with power and speed to power moves.

We need a guy that can consistently capture the OT shoulder with his first step plus the balance to sustain the rush.

Collins is the unsung hero of the DL. He has been great this season and I am looking forward to what a full year of offseason work will do for him.

McClain has played well too, and Mayowa is finally emerging as well. If Crawford and D Law can get healthy, we could have the makings of a solid pass rush for the playoffs.

Other than Bosa, I don't think there is a better DL taken in the 2016 draft than Collins. Collins is playing as well as Buckner or Rankins and possibly better. And Collins so far is better than Lawson, Clark, Nkemdiche, Spence, Ogbah, Dodd, A'shawn Robinson, Jaran Reed, and Nassib.

Awesome pick. He gets pressure up the all important middle.

Crawford is one of the top playmakers on the defense. He has gotten better the more he has played SDE. Moving forward they will be able to move him around.

We desperately need to draft more DL.

I just don't see it. He is getting paid the big bucks and doesn't seem to get as much pressure as he should be.

Collins has so much upside it's crazy how he was only taken in the 3rd he could of gone in the 1st easily.
