Stop acting like you know anything.

My dude, have you...actually seen his contract?

I apparently know more than you *HURR EMOJI*

https://overthecap.com/player/ezekiel-elliott/4717

Zeke's cap number next year is $16 million. It doesn't get much better from then on. After this season, we can actually get out of his contract. Are you out of your freakin' mind to think we'll be okay with paying Zeke the money he is getting next season to be a short yardage back? Dude, he'll be a top 3 paid RB with only Aaron Jones making more than him. He either takes a massive paycut or he's gone.

He's an RB, why is this even surprising to some of you?

He's not being paid as a short yardage back. That's the problem and that's why Zeke will be asked to take a pay cut after this season or he'll be set off to FA.
I don;t get why people hate him for his paycheck. He does what the team asks of him....playing hurt, reduced touches, blocking a porous O-line ot the keep the QB healthy...which VERY few "star" rb's do to that frequency and level...and you know it.

Do try to cheer him as best as you can.

The hurdle was vintage Zeke. He may be entering the twilight phase of his career, but the guy is 100% heart and will always be one of my favorite Cowboys.

You don't have to love the contract to appreciate the player. Zeke has given us lots of memorable moments over the years.

A lot of times people get so jealous of these guys' money that can't bring themselves to appreciate the player. The Cowboys have decided they're not going to use Zeke more than 12-15 carries a game.. There is nothing he can do about that. Nor is there anything any of us can do about it. Just as there is nothing any of us can do about his salary. I like watching him play because as a former player and coach I greatly appreciate what he is giving this team.. I see him throw his body in the path of much larger men in pass protection. I see him slam into a wall of defenders on short yardage.. I see him shake off tacklers in the backfield and turn a loss into a 2-3 yard gain. All of this makes me absolutely love the player he is.. As for his paycheck? Who cares? I don't get to watch him pick up his paycheck.. I get to watch him play football.

I so want to find the guy that said Zeke can't hurdle.

Well to be fair he never said Zeke "can't" hurdle.. He said Zeke "doesn't" hurdle. Which he had not been doing much of lately. I always come back to this with that sort of thing.. Those things require energy.. just as running full speed for an 8 yard run requires energy. As you age you have less energy. Zeke has gotten smart enough not to pull these tools out until he needs them. They're not gone from his arsenal.. He's just smarter about using them. As an older back with a lot of tread on the tires he needs to be.

No matter how important you think you are.. you don't have even a 1/1000000th say in what Zeke paid as. He's paid to do what the coaches ask him to do.. which he does very well.

Thank you for the correction. My point still stands. Zeke isn;t as washed up as some...fans...want him to be.

He's doing everything the team asks of him. Including playing smarter.

I hope that knee is good!

I’m going to keep doing this until you all start putting respect to his name!
36th in the NFL in yards per carry. He has been under 90 yard and under 4 ypc in nearly every game. They also seem to have stopped using him in the pass game completely. Keep doing it all you want, doesnt change his mediocrity

This is the thing that puzzles me most about the people that hate on him. The guy has been a consummate professional about his reduced touches and has embraced the role of personal protector for the QB while being Tony Pollard's biggest cheerleader. In fact it's well known that he is maybe the second most liked guy on the team behind Dak. His teammates and coaches absolutely love him.

Oh yeah.. I also hope that knee is okay. I'm sure it hurts like hell this morning. Looked like a hyper-extension. The good news was that it was not a sideward hit so less risk of ACL or really any ligament tear.. though I'm sure they all got stretched a little. But my guess is that the pain from the hit on the bone is what kept him on the ground. He had to stay there till the pain calmed down.. Then he could determine if there was any real damage.

Actually on my feed your response came up first.. but we're of the same mind when it comes to Zeke. Dude is going what he's being asked to do and doing it extremely well, and being **** upon by some lower football intellect fans. Nothing to be done about it really. You can't fix stupid.

Keep whining all you want, doesn't change his playing time... and his status with his teammates and coaches.

Im pretty sure if we make it to the playoffs you are gonna change your tune. Zeke will be critical in protecting dak an ball control offense.

Until then....try to cheer him on as best as you can manage.

I wish he learned how to stiff arm. That would add a whole new dimension to his game.

Zeke would be fine if he was listed as the full back and he was eating up 2 million in cap space.
