Another myth exploded

Once again stupidity rears its head. BP goes with theot hand. As long as we were winning he would have played Roths- ony when he started to make mistakes would he have pulled him. MORON.

Yeah you are so right that we went from 10-6 with Quincy Carter to 6-10 with Vinny Grampaverde. What was that you said again about Parcells goin with the hot hand at QB??????????????

This thread is hilarious. I clicked on it by accident. I see ignore, ignore phbthal, BP linking to a depression site, Dave-in-NC laughing at that, ignore ignore...............Hos then more ignores.

Why do I think I'm not missing much?

Big Ben is the perfect example of a BUS DRIVER, in my opinion. The team is loaded with talent, big ben does nothing special.

uh, when ever have we had the hot hand at QB?

oh yeah, the 1st half of this year, and who was that? a veteran handpicked by Parcells

Staubach was in his third year- AND he was a lot older then the normal 3rd year QB. Montana- was in his third year and was also on a top team. Montan a also came from a top program and was used to the pressure of big games. A lot of it is leadership that comes from maturity. You do not get that overnight. AND very few ever really get it anyway. And frankly I do not see anyone like that available to us.

As usual you are wrong. Ben will be the youngest starting QB in SB history. Even for someone like you that should hint that getting to the SB with a young QB is kind of HARD. BUT then fanatics with an agenda like you are strangers to the cold hard facts of the NFL. Young QB's make lots of mistakes that tend to insure that you DON'T MAKE IT TO THE BIG ONE.
This will be the 40th SB- and only NOW has such a young QB made it. AND he did not carry the team there- though he did today. Remember how few passes he makes compared to most any other QB in the game?
Just a few facts for you to chew on.

No you are wrong- Dan Marino was younger then Ben when he went to the SB.

Funny how the only QB that Parcells did not hand pick was the one that got us a 10-6 record and to the playoffs.

There's no such thing as a perfect solution to any situation because there will always be conditions set on it.

2 young QBs (NFL years) who led their teams there in dominant fashion. I'll stand by it. Feel free to discount it if it helps you sleep. Fact is, it fit the condition offered.

Quincy was hardly the reason we made the playoffs, 20 INTs

do you even watch football, or do you just gripe and complain on here?

So does that mean you are only considered a young QB if you are less than 3 years in the league and didnt come from a big time program and aren't used to big games and under the age of 27?

Marino went to a SB? suprised- I thought he never made it to one. CBS is the one claiming that Roths is the youngest.
Cannot believe that someone is now trying to say that Q took us to the playoffs- more like he was along for the ride.

If Bill had been coach in 1991, Beuerlein would have started over Aikman the entire season ... and beyond.

2nd year in the NFL and lost to the 49ers and Montana.

Your right. Big Ben is nothin special. All he did was make the big throws when he was called on to do it and had a QB rating of over 100.

I watched that whole game and saw how he could feel pressure and move around in the pocket and buy time to make the throws needed.

I guess Big Ben has to have a star on his helmet to be anything special.

A QB from a big time program that started multiple years and played in big games has a huge advantage over someone who has not done either.
Roths is the exception that proves the rule as I said.
By the way- where would we get a QB that could do what Roths has done?
Someone here really think that Henson or Romo could do that?

Sorry but that is not a fact. What is a fact is that the 2 hand picked QBs by Parcells have yet to lead us to the playoffs. I thought you were into this uh fact thing.

And how do we know that Henson mighta not been a exception to. For all we know has Henson started in 2004 we would now see that he is on his way to bein great or be sayin.....wow...we need to make a big move for our QB of the future.

I think Henson is a QB that he just needs game time. And when he gets it the game will come to him fast.

Hmm last time I looked Michigan was a pretty big time program and that guy Henson I believe is a bit older than your average young QB. I am not saying that Henson is the answer, but I am saying that if he is, we wont know till Parcells is gone, and that I believe to be true about any young QB that this team brings in, Bill is all about Bill and his legacy.

nope, it's a fact, look what we averaged on offense that year, 17 points a game! it was our #1 D and weak schedule that got us to 10-6, and the playoffs, not Quincy

Drew Bledsoe is the best QB we've had since Aikman, Parcells picked him

Quincy is no longer in the NFL, Parcells didn't pick him

and that my friend, was me schooling you in simple logic
