I realize I'm not the first the to mention it, but I may be the biggest proponent for it.
Certainly should NOT pay a high price for him. Once his asking price comes down- whatever it currently is I'm sure it's too high. It doesn't appear there's been a lot of interest thus far for his services. The guy is a rare, exceptional receiver. Although he isn't the dominant force he once was, he can still play and play at a higher level than any receiver on this roster not named Dez Bryant. Would bring sure hands, a savvy veteran presence and tough-nosed approach to the receiver corps- much needed attributes. Romo deserves this kind of reliable presence/leadership on the field with him, for a change. Guy is probably going to end up signing a very reasonable short-term contract somewhere. I'm sure the Cowboys will sleep on it and miss out. This group of receivers is laughable and that's not going to change without a real & proven addition at the position. Aren't many of those guys available.
