Got this off of Matt Mosely's Hashmarks.

Anquan Boltin' to the Cowboys?

March 17, 2008 7:16 PM

If you think that Drew Rosenhaus will remain silent about his client Anquan Boldin's contract situation in Arizona, you haven't followed the man's career. The signing of Larry Fitzgerald to a four-year, $40 million contract extension may have brought the Cardinals temporary relief, but they will soon hear from Rosenhaus about Boldin's bargain-basement deal.

As Adam Schefter recently pointed out, the club's other Pro Bowl receiver is set to make $2.5 million in base salary this season, $2.75 million in 2009 and $3 million in 2010. That's not going to cut it for a Pro Bowl receiver who is a much better leader than Fitzgerald.

So what are the alternatives? Well, it wouldn't surprise me if Rosenhaus instructs Boldin to hold out at some point. Boldin's not a selfish person, but he's not going to give the Cardinals a free ride.

According to sources close to Hashmarks, the Cowboys spent some time talking about Boldin last week at Valley Ranch. It wouldn't surprise me if they reached out to the Cardinals at some point. Dallas needs someone other than Patrick Crayton to play opposite of Terrell Owens, and Boldin would certainly be worth a No. 1 pick. I'm not saying this is going to happen, but it's something you should keep an eye on.

I'd luv to have him. He's young, strong, fast, great hands, tough, excellent RAC, and goes across the middle.

boldin and TO would be rediculous, the RAC potential is crazy.
I would be for trading one of our firsts for the guy, he is a proven NFL stud.
If i was Jerry i would play it like this: wait until draft day and see who drops, if its no one we like, swap with the cards. (Yes i know "this isn't madden", but i would be very suprised if the cards turned down a first.)

Rather have Williams from Detroit for a 1st. I would be for AB for a 2nd though. He's taken a lot of punishment and has more wear and tear than Williams I believe.

Who would you rather have then Boldin in the upcoming draft for WR?

Right.....me either.

Wouldn't we be in the same situation if we got Boldin as ARI is in right now with him possibly holding out for a new contract? Would we have enough dough leftover for a new contract for him after we shelled out for Adams and are going to be have to deal with new contracts for Newman, Barber, Hamlin, and Owens over the next little while?

I think with a better Qb than what he's had to work with that will change. IT's about what the QB can do as well as far as getting the ball to the WR in a position to where he can RAC. Hopefully if he does come here it would be different with Romo.

So basically they know what we know, that's some tremendous insight.

This guy is a great player and an important leader on the offense. He plays with heart. He would be a great addition...

No kidding. That is interesting. When Matt talks abot the Cowboys and mentions "sources" and "something to keep an eye on" in the same sentance with the word "Cowboys", my ears perk up.

Look what Boldin has done in Arizona w/ what can honestly be called a crappy offense. I'd take him...

If we can afford him, get him Jerry! No doubt I'd trade a 1st rounder on him.

The only problem is that you aren't addressing the need for a speed receiver opposite TO. In fact you are signing "TO light" to play on the other side of him. Don't get me wrong, Boldin is a great player but, there's something about him that just screams IR or inactive ( I could be way off, but that's the vibe I get). Besides that if we are going to trade for someone, I prefer that it be for TOs replacement not a lesser version of the same player.

I live in AZ and all my friends are Cardinals fans (pitiful i know), but their favorite player is Boldin, it would be a dream come true to see him traded to Dallas :starspin
