Desean "could" be a lot of things, Boldin is already a star. I don't think it's that complicated. There is a reason why he's going to get paid.

I don't want to take the Dolphins-Ginn approach to drafting a WR. Draft a skinny, undersized WR in the 1st round and then hold a press conference where you explain how he'll be a "Hell of a kick returner." to a chorus of "BOO!". No thanks.

I agree. We don't need a KR, we need a WR. If we are in need of a KR, draft Mike Jenkins to be the 3rd CB and KR. Jenkins can be had in the 2nd Rd. Would much rather trade a 1st for a proven commodity than hoping it works out with a draft pick, especially in a position of need.

I don't know that Jenkins will be there in the 2nd, but I agree there are a million ways to address kick returners and special team players, and the 1st round isn't the best time to do that.

Your sig. line is classic. Judging from your avatar, one can assume you would lead the chorus of "boo-ya". I know it's lame, sorry.

Thanks, and that I would. I'm not say there isn't a chance Desean doesn't become a good WR, but if the choice is Anquan Boldin vs Desean Jackson, I think that decision is pretty easy.

The only problem is that you aren't addressing the need for a speed receiver opposite TO. In fact you are signing "TO light" to play on the other side of him. Don't get me wrong, Boldin is a great player but, there's something about him that just screams IR or inactive ( I could be way off, but that's the vibe I get). Besides that if we are going to trade for someone, I prefer that it be for TOs replacement not a lesser version of the same player.

IMO does it matter about speed when you have Boldin and T.O. on the same field who are you going to double team. when you do the other is going to burn you and really can't play man 2 man because Romo would have a field day. i'm all for trading for Boldin he is proven and him and TO would be dangerous.

Everytime a player is thought to be unhappy with a contract situation, Dallas name always surfaces as a possible destination, I don't believe Arizona will trade him to Dallas. You know they don't want to do the Cowboys any favors in Arizona....

Rather have Williams from Detroit for a 1st. I would be for AB for a 2nd though. He's taken a lot of punishment and has more wear and tear than Williams I believe.

I wouldn't mind either one. Roy W. has missed time from injury as well.

If Jerry made a deal (whatever it might involve) to acquire Anquan Boldin, it would certainly be enough to make me say "wow." The receivers available in this year's draft aren't considered 'rock solid' first rounders, as some have been in years past. I'd prefer he'd give up something like our last first round pick and possibly a player (such as Ayodele or Carpenter) if that's what it took. Boldin would be a great complement to our offense and surely a much safer acquisition than any of the WRs available through the draft this year, IMO.
